ABSTRACT
The project, Smarter Work Management System is a web based work management tool to

enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction . Smarter Work Management System enables you
to monitor the working pattern, time taken for completing a task and the skills of the consultant.
In addition the timesheet of the consultant is also submitted to the leader.

USES
o

Online job allocation and status capturing.

Real Time Job allocation.

Better coordination among team members.

Timely completion through feedback and status reviews enabling management to take
course correction measures.

Timely reporting of progress.

Remote Monitoring of Projects .

SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
The system management is for getting information of the remote system and to apply change
and configuration to the remote system. This is archived through system management

namespace, which contains the required classes. With the support of the socket programming
this system management can be applied in remote systems. Visual C#.net and Visual Basic.net
supports system management.

Data flow diagram is a means of representing a system at any level of detail with a
graphic network of symbols showing data flows, data stores, data processes and data
sources.
The purpose of data flow diagram is to provide a semantic bridge between users and
system developers.
The diagram are graphical, eliminating thousands of words, logical representations,
modeling what system does; hierarchical, showing systems at any level of details; and
jargon less, allowing user understanding and reviewing.

INPUT DESIGN
Input design is the process of converting a user-oriented description of the inputs to a
computer based business system into a programmer-oriented specification. Inaccurate
input data is the most common cause of data processing errors. Effective input design
minimizes errors made by data entry operators. Effective screen design can reduce data
entry errors. Objectives in input design stage are:
1.

To produce a cost effective method of input.

2.

To achieve the highest possible level of accuracy.

3.

To ensure that the input is acceptable to and understood by the user.

Activities to be performed as a part of input design are:

Data recording

Data control

Data correction

Data verification

Data validation

CONCLUSION
The system, a comprehensive work management system for construction companies, has been
developed and is found to be working effectively. It is not only like a compass that guides
activities and projects to systematic and sensible directions and helps track and collect the
most comprehensive data concerning working time on individual projects, but also an effective
tool to monitor the working patterns and skills of consultants. Its remarkably comprehensive
features are user friendly and are instrumental in effective work management.
