Opening Remarks

My deepest respect to the following dignitaries:


From the Local Government of Butuan City, Hon. Ferdinand
Amante Jr., MD, the City Mayotr; Hon. Angie Calo, the City ViceMayor; Hon. Ramon Carampatana, City Councilor and Chairman,
Committee on Education; and the rest of the members of LGU
Butuan.
From the Department of Education-Butuan City Division, Mr.
Arsenio T. Cornites, Jr., CESO V, the Schools Division
Superintendent, Mrs. Jeanie Mativo, the Assistant Schools Division
Superintendent, and the rest of the members of the division
personnel.
From the barangay council of Taligaman, Hon. Florita I.
Janiola, the Barangay Captain and the rest of the members of the
barangay council.
From the private and public stakeholders, the different
highly-esteemed individuals.
The General Parent-Teachers Association headed by Mrs.
Marites Mosqueda, the GPTA President, the faqculty and staff,
parents, students, ladies and gentlemenGOOD MORNING!
Over the years, the Brigada Eskwela effort has evolved from
a week-long cleaning-up and beautification exercise to a festive
coming together of students, teachers, school officials, parents,
community members, local government officials, non-government
organizations, church groups and the private sector. It has
become one of DepEds major initiatives in enjoining local
communities to respond to the needs of public schools and be
part of a nationwide effort towards improving Philippine basic
education.
This years Brigada Eskwela has a theme, Tayo Para sa
Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos, at Handa Mula Kindergarten hanggang
Senior High School. The education of the Filipino youth is
everybodys concern. Thus, the successful collaboration of all the
stakeholders is therefore pivotal in ensuring that Filipino children
and youth go to school, remain in school and learn in school.
As the Department of Education endeavors to solve the
many challenges facing Philippine education, Brigada Eskwela will
serve as one of its frontline initiatives reminding each and every
Filipino that we are all stakeholders in education.

Opening Remarks

To everyone who is here to extend his/her support and


participation, welcome to our humble Taligaman National High
School. We hope for a prolific and satisfying Brigada Eskwela
2016.
