Course Outline

This 3-credit course introduces students to chemical process dynamics and control. The course is taught by Dr. Naveen Tiwari and covers topics such as mathematical modeling of processes, Laplace transforms, transfer functions, feedback controllers, and multi-input multi-output systems over 40 lectures. Student performance is evaluated through assignments, quizzes, a group project, a midterm, and a final exam. Recommended textbooks include books by Ogunnaike and Ray and Seborg, Edgar and Mellichamp on process dynamics and control.
