Replica by Elise Thompson

1) Adam believes that the first four people you see each day influence you. He makes eye contact with two males and a distressed girl while walking in the park. 2) Flashbacks show the males engaging in disturbing acts such as screaming at a crying girl and drawing inverted crosses, while the girl is seen overdosing. 3) Adam isolates himself in his room, where he scratches himself, takes tablets, and stabs a pillow with a knife while discussing human behavior and desires in a dark tone.

FADE IN:
EXT. PARK
ADAM:(Voiceover)
They say the first four people you see in a day you become most like

ADAM is walking through the park with his headphones on when he

passes a young male. They make eye contact and stare at each other
as they pass by.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM
A flashback of the young male screaming whilst looking down on and
holding the hair of a girl on her knees as she cries
CUT TO:
EXT. PARK
ADAM then passes another male and again ends up staring at him as
they pass
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM
Flashback(Montage)young male sits staring at his reflection in a
mirror whilst tilting his head. He then runs his fingers over the
veins on his arms and begins drawing the crucifix cross upside down
on a piece of paper
CUT TO:
EXT. PARK
One of the last people Adam passes in the park is a young girl who
runs past looking distressed; they maintain eye contact for a brief
moment as she continues running.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM
A young girl sits on the end of her bed and stares at the multiple
tablets in her hand. She consumes every tablet, reaches for a knife
on the side of her desk, slits her wrist and blood drips.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM

Adam sits on the edge of his bed and looks into a mirror
FADE TO screen that reads: 1:47pm
ADAM sits at his desk drawing
ADAM: (voiceover)
You see the issue with our mind is that it plays tricks on us. We
have been indoctrinated into observing the world in an optimistic
way, blocking out realism in order to shield our emotions from the
penetrating facts that we as humans are actually the true
incarnations of Satan. You see me, Im a little morerealistic than
most.
ADAM sits with his legs crossed and stares at his wall full of
drawings. He scratches his arms hard enough to pierce his skin and
it begins to bleed.
FADE TO screen that reads: 3:18pm
ADAM exhales smoke and then consumes a number of tablets.
ADAM: (Voiceover)
I enjoy isolation. It suppresses my urges to carry out socially
unacceptable desires. Human interaction is such a complex concept
to explain; behaviour is not a qualitative measure and only through
observation are we able to interpret the true symbolism behind our
actions.
ADAM picks up a knife and repeatedly stabs it into a piece of
pillow.

FADE TO screen that reads

Suicidal behaviour
Same sequence when he walks through the park and actually those
people are not the way he viewed them
