Campaign: Purpose
With a Campaign you can define marketing activities for a time period and a
specific target group.
There are activities for multiple chanels available (Email, SMS, File export,).
These activities can be executed in a single run, a periodic schedule or a
multiwave flow.
By analyzing the resulting interactions the success of the marketing activities can
be reported

Description
This function allows to monitor the success of an Campaign by analyzing the interactions which
occur as a result of the Campaign execution.
Preconditions
Target Group contain Interaction Contacts
Interaction profile is maintained in customizing and is assigned to the Campaigns category
Interactions are linked to the Campaign
Process / Features
Facet in Campaign thing inspector which shows all relevant interaction types and their success:
Number of interactions
Number of unique contacts
Percentage compared to total number of contacts in Target Group

Link to Campaign
Only those Interactions are counted in the success facet which are linked to the Campaign. Initially only those
Interaction types are displayed which are defined in the Interaction Profile. If Interactions of different types are
assigned to the Campaign then those will also be displayed below those standard Interaction types.
There are two ways how Interactions obtain the link to the Campaign:
Campaign Action
Some Campaign actions also create a corresponding Interaction (example: Send Email). In that case also the
link to the Campaign is automatically created.
Assignment during upload process of Interactions
Interactions can be created by uploading data from external sources (e.g. email campaign systems). With this
BAdI you can add a link to an Campaign during upload:

Since the introduction of the campaign automation the
export is triggered by a background job. To enable the
automatic upload of export files the job user must always
be invited to the Jam group before any export is
happening. That use must also accept the invitation to the
Jam group.

A new status can be activated to mark Campaigns as To be Released which allows to control the
release of an Campaign separately. A marketing manager (somebody who has release
authorization) can now either release such an Campaign in the normal thing inspector or use a new
Fiori app called Release Campaigns
