Target Groups and Control Groups

Control groups are defined as
specific target groups and
assigned to one or multiple
target groups.

Control Groups are used to analyze the

effectiveness of marketing measures and can be
distinguished from target groups by the fact, that
the members of a target group are contacted, and
the members of a control group are not.

Campaigns trigger a rebuild for

dynamic target group as well as
for control groups.

Control Groups are assigned in the

header of a target group

success, for example the sales

Campaigns

Campaign: Purpose
With a Campaign you can define marketing activities for a time period and a
specific target group.
There are activities for multiple chanels available (Email, SMS, File export,).
These activities can be executed in a single run, a periodic schedule or a
multiwave flow.
By analyzing the resulting interactions the success of the marketing activities can
be reported

Campaign: Automation and Scheduled/Periodic Execution

Automation
The execution of actions in the campaign is now handled in the new facet
Automation. Here you can assign one or more actions to the initial execution step.
Additionally you can define follow-up actions based on triggers like Email opened
or Click through (Multiwave).
Scheduled/Periodic Execution
Depending on the setting in the campaign category you have the following options
for execution:
One-time: Execute immediately or scheduled
Periodic: Specify first execution date/time and execution interval

Early Knowledge Transfer

Campaign: Automation Versions

You can create multiple versions in the Automation facet. The version is also
recorded in every campaign-related interaction. This allows a distinct reporting and
comparison between versions. Here are two scenarios for versions:
Newsletter Campaign
Every issue of a newsletter can be executed/sent with a separate version.
Periodic Campaign
Long-running periodic campaigns sometimes need to be changed with regards to
content. You can use versions to separate this and to do a comparison between
before and after a change.
