Porn Kills is primarily a guide to understanding and managing pornography addiction: a self-help book if you will.
However, it is much more than just that. This book is set in three major parts: the first is a journey through the lives of people who have suffered either as an addict or as a partner of one. The reader will grasp a very real sense of the devastation that pornography can cause. The second part educates the reader on pornography itself, the industry and the addiction. This section is particularly valuable to anyone wanting to understand the problem, including pastors, counsellors, partners and addicts alike. The third and final part of the book takes on the addiction itself: based partly on the proven Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous 12 step programs, and partly on personal experience and study of pornography addiction.
The path through deliverance involves going through carefully planned and thoroughly guided steps. Throughout this phase of the book, the addict is guided through detailed processes that educate, resource and challenge: helping the addict to grow and develop as a person. Once delivered, the addict is also equipped and guided through processes that will enable him or her to deal appropriately with temptation and get back on track quickly and effectively should the addict ‘fall off the wagon’.
