Full-Stack Web Developer (PHP/SQL/HTML/JavaScript)

Job type: Permanent full-time


Salary: Competitive and negotiable depending on your experience and skills

Duties:
Website maintenance (analytics, updates, server statistics, QoS; ensuring websites perform to
an acceptable standard. An understanding of accessibility, reliability and performance is key)
Developing and improving websites, web applications and web components (Drupal,
WordPress, vanilla PHP/HTML, custom components)
Building modules and themes for Drupal and WordPress websites
Creating and collaborating on architectures and scopes of work for new projects
Requirements:
Degree in computer science or equivalent
Excellent knowledge and technical expertise in Wordpress (developing and theming)
Strong knowledge and technical expertise in databases (SQL) and PHP including the latest
version
Strong knowledge of web standards including HTML 5 and CSS 3.
Good knowledge of client-side scripting (latest version of JavaScript, jQuery) and
asynchronous web applications (AJAX/AJAJ)
Good knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO)
Good knowledge of responsive web design (RWD)
The following would also be advantageous:
Knowledge of internet protocols
Experience with the Apache web server
Experience with Linux server configurations, maintenance and monitoring
Interest in UI/UX
An understanding and experience of Test Driven Development and Behavioural Driven
Development
Real world experience of Deployment / Continuous Integration and Deployment
