Solar

The document describes an existing hybrid power system and the requirements for a new hybrid charge controller and load controller. The system includes a 24V 400Ah battery bank charged by two chargers connected to a 220VAC source, and a 24V 800Ah battery bank charged by solar panels through the new controller. The new controller must (1) accommodate both 220VAC and 24VDC PV input, (2) charge the 800Ah battery from AC or DC prioritizing solar, (3) have sufficient capacity to handle panel and load current safely, and (4) supply 24VDC to loads or a balancing circuit while protecting the battery from overcharge and deep discharge.

The Hybrid Charge Controller and Load Controller shall fulfill the following
requirements
a) It shall be hybrid to accommodate both the 220 VAC and DC from 24V PV
Panels.
b) Charging of 24V 800 AH battery bank shall be done by the AC input as well as
DC from PV panels with first priority to the DC from the PV Panel.
c) It shall have sufficient capacity with safety factor to handle the DC Current
from the panel as well as the Load current.
d) It shall supply the 24VDC directly to the load or to the balancing circuit
whichever is appropriate.
e) It shall have efficient charging system to protect the battery bank from over
charging and over discharging.
