Electricity charges
In the modern posh Co-operative Housing Societies there are various facilities for the
benefits of Members in common as well as for the benefit of selected Members. Such
facilities are:
i.

Gymnasium

ii.

Club house

iii.

Sports club

iv.

Playground

v.

Swimming pools

vi.

Community hall

vii.

Special utility services

viii.

Society Office

ix.

Lifts in separate building of Society

x.

Electricity in common areas of the building

xi.

Electricity in common areas in the society and also

xii.

Electricity use in celebration of during festivals.

Care should be taken that electricity used for above referred utilities are accounted for in
their respective heads of expenses to reduce the burden on the members by way of service
charges. Many a time inappropriate accounting results into requirement of very high
contribution by the Members as service charges.
