I.

Describe in at least two paragraphs a grade

school or high school teacher who made a
great impact on your life.
A teacher is somebody who teaches, especially as
a profession. For me, my teacher who made a
great impact in my life is my Social Studies
teacher. He teaches Economics as well. But I can
tell that he made a great impact in my life. The
way he teaches Social Studies is not just because
its a necessity or because its hes job or
occupation but because he believes that we need
it to create a better future. He discusses very
thoroughly, briefly and can be understand easily
because in every topic, he relates it to life. But its
not just because its Social Studies thats why he
needs to relate it, but because he wants us to
grow, nurture and develop. He believes in the
philosophy of Jose Rizal, Ang kabataan ang pag-

asa ng bayan. And for him he does not lose hope

because he sees us as the hope of our country.
Thats why he teaches very well because he
always thinks that everything that I will teach them
will be the cause of our future. They must learn
from my experiences in order for them to know
what life is. In short a teacher also teaches life. Its
not just about learning but also for the values and
wisdom that we need to learn. He told me that you
must not learn and memorize but you need to
understand why. He helped me a lot because he
taught me of what I will do when I enter the
seminary. Life in the seminary will be different. Life
in the seminary will not be like anything you see
here outside. Life in the seminary will be life with
God. I was amazed when he told me this but at
first I cant understand. But now I understand a lot

more rather than before. He told me that I will

create my own future and I am only an instrument
of God so that you might know your way of which
path you will take. I am very proud of my teacher.
He is Sir Alvin H. Guadines. He helped me find
Christ in everything. Follow what your heart
desires.

II.

It is the time you have wasted on your rose

that makes your rose so important.
People nowadays want to have instant things. They
want instant food, money, work and etc.
We want to sleep, rather than to work. People
nowadays want to shortcut everything. And the
saddest thing about it is they want to shortcut life.
We dont see the value of time and hard work. Its
the time you have wasted on others of what is
important. Its the value of time of what is being
discussed here. For example: Marriage is not just

you love someone and you will marry her/him. It

takes time to develop. There are stages that we
must take in order to appreciate one thing.
Otherwise we will disregard that thing and will find
a new one. Its about the effort you exert that what
matters most and not the thing you will get from
your effort. Nowadays people tend to shortcut
development. They dont want to undergo
development. Its like being in the priesthood.
Thats why its ten years because we are being
formed to become not just better priest but the
best priest that we can be. Sometimes more than
10 years is needed in order to become a better
priest. Always remember that effort and hard work
is needed to appreciate things.
III. You have to genuinely love the poor.
We see things in this era not with judgment but
being judgmental. Things in this world are seen as

having a hierarchy. I am rich that is why I am more

powerful than you. Having money in this world is
also having more power. This philosophy is absurd.
Poor people are being judged easily because we
think of them as if they dont know something. But
it is written that Blessed are the poor of heart, for
they shall see God. We must treat each other
equally not according to what we achieved but
because we are created with God equally. Equality
is what people desire. We are children of God and
we are fair in the eyes of God. We must see Christ
in the poor for he dwells in them.
IV. Compare and Contrast Forrest Gump and
Shawshank Redemption.
Both films were published in 1994. The two movies
have a comparison because it shows on how to
survive. Forrest Gump shows that life is harsh but
that is life. Reality can be painful in Forrest Gump

and you must allow it to enter through your heart.

Forrest Gump details of what life will be if you
enter in this kind of situation in life. There are
many situations that happened in Forrest Gump.
Shawshank Redemption shows that life is matter of
struggling, striving to survive. It is the survival of
the fittest. Life is seen here as if you must be busy
in doing something otherwise you will be busy in
dying. The two movies have a comparison with life
but different situation and different messages.
