Incorporates either drillable bit or bit crossover
Drillable Bit ((XCD3),
), once casingg ppoint is reached,, the casingg is
cemented into place. Another bit is then used to drill through the
drillable bit and continues on to the next casing point.
Bit crossover allows to reach casing point and drop ball to shear
x-over and allow bit to fall into rat hole. The casing is then
cemented into place. Limited to final casing point.
Directional tools and MWD tools cannot be used.

Every foot drilled is kept.

Level 3
Retrievable
Specially designed BHA that can be tripped and set at will
without tripping the casing. As in Level 2 every foot that is
drilled is kept.
BHA can be tripped with drill pipe or wire line.
Incorporates all directional and MWD tools.

A pilot bit cuts a hole roughly 85% of required diameter.
Underreamer is then used to open up the hole to desired OD.
