ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
(For Undergraduate Courses)
Academic Year 2010 – 11

Shri Ram College of Commerce offers admissions to undergraduate courses – B.Com. (Hons.) and
B.A. (Hons.) Economics for the academic batch 2010 – 2011.

1. Prospectus and Preliminary Application Form for admission is available from College Office from May
28, 2010 to June 11, 2010. – Prospectus (including form) Rs.100/- (by post Rs.150/- within India)
– Application Form Rs.10/-

2. Candidates can also download the Application Form from the college web-site (www.srcc.edu) and
submit the same along-with a bank draft of Rs.150/-. Prospectus (including form) can also be obtained
by sending a bank draft for Rs.150/-. Draft should be drawn in favour of “Shri Ram College of
Commerce, Delhi”, payable at Delhi.

3. The schedule of important dates regarding Admission Process is given in Appendix – A.

4. Candidates should fill separate form for different courses.

5. The Application should be properly filled-in and signed by the candidate. Self-attested photocopy of
class XII mark-sheet should be enclosed with the Application Form.

6. Registration for admission under following categories is done centrally by the University of Delhi:
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Challenged, Foreign Candidates, Armed Forces*, Nepalese,
Sikkimese etc.
(* For the children/widows/wives of the officers and men of the armed forces including para-military personnel,
killed/disabled in action or those who died/or disabled on duty and the wards of ex-service men personnel and
serving personnel who are in receipt of gallantry award.)
Candidates belonging to above categories who wish to be considered under the category are advised to
register themselves with the University of Delhi for admission. Admission under the above categories
shall be granted as per Admission List/Slip issued by the University of Delhi.

Candidates belonging to OBC category can register themselves with the college by filling Preliminary
Application Form. A separate cut-off list will be released for OBC category. The difference between the
cut-off under General Category (merit basis) and cut-off under OBC category will not be more than 10 %.
Candidates applying under OBC category kindly may ensure that the caste certificate should be in their
name only; the caste must be included in the Central List for OBC’s; and the certificate must mention non-
creamy layer status of the Candidate.

7. Admission shall be made strictly on merit basis. University rules shall apply for admissions under
different reserved categories.

8. Admission Form under Sports Category should be filled separately and submitted with the college along
with relevant sports documents/certificates and two passport size photographs. Eligible candidates
shall be required to appear for trials on notified date(s).

9. Second, third and fourth cut-off lists shall be released in case of vacancy. The last year’s cut-off
percentage for B.Com. (Hons.) was 94.75 % and for B.A. (Hons.) Economics was 96.50 % for category A.

10. College provides hostel accommodation for girls and boys separately. Candidates after their admission
in the College can apply for hostel accommodation. The Admission in Hostel is made on merit basis.
Reservation applies as per the University of Delhi rules.

11. The fee payable at the time of admission is as follows:


B.Com.(Hons.) Rs.6,700/-
B.A. (Hons.) Economics Rs.6,500/-
