Sub & Supra System

A subsystem is a part of a larger system and is composed of other subsystems delineated by boundaries. Interactions between subsystems are called interfaces. A supra system refers to an entity formed by a system and equivalent subsystems it interacts with. For example, an organization's functional areas like marketing and finance are subsystems that collectively make up the larger supra system.
