SERDES

SerDes is an integrated circuit transceiver that converts parallel data into a serial data stream for transmission over differential media, reducing the number of data paths and connecting pins required. It stands for serializer/deserializer and changes parallel and serial data formats.

Short for serializer/deserializer, SerDes is an integrated circuittransceiver used to convert parallel and

serial data. SerDes converts data into a serial data stream and then transmits it over a differential media.
SerDes reduces the number of data paths and also the number of connecting PINs (or wires) required.
