Computers and smartphones can be used positively in the classroom by facilitating participation and feedback through applications, and by equipping students with modern tools to ease their transition to the workforce. While technology should not replace in-person learning, incorporating phones and computers as learning tools makes sense given their prevalence in most industries today.

Using the computer/phone during classes

Computers play a vital role in every field and profession now. Computer technology has had a deep
impact on the education sector. Teaching as well as learning has become much easier by using
computers or smartphones.

Firstly, smart phones or computers can be used for positive purposes in the classroom. For
example, instructors might choose to employ a variety of applications which can be accessed by
mobile devices. These applications encourage class participation and provide instructors with
instantaneous feedback about student learning.
Secondly, by introducing it into schools and classrooms, the students are equipped with much
better tools and knowledge to make their transition from school to the work place a very easy
one.
I think that in today's day and age, with the way computers, cell phones, and other technologies
are used throughout almost every industry it makes a lot of sense to incorporate phones and
computers as tools for learning. I do not see a problem with that at all.
We should not be fighting technology in the classroom, we should be embracing it
