INLine Liner Hanger System

Product Family No. H29314
Introduction
The INLine Liner Hanger System has been
designed to improve upon current offering in the industry for 11-3/4" x 13-3/8" drilling liners by improving Packing Element differential capability,
hanging capacity and liner hanger integrity. The
INLine Liner Hanger System incorporates a ZXP
Liner Top Packer, an improved Hydraulic Set Liner
Hanger and an RS Packoff in one chassis.

Features and Benefits

Eliminates the hydraulic cylinder - improves

pressure integrity
Solid body design with integral setting piston
and slip seats
Incorporates hanger, packer and retrievable
cementing profile into a single common tool
Utilizes rupture disc technology with +/-5%
tolerance to control setting pressure
Eliminates welding on hanger body making
design applicable to CRA applications
Higher load capacity
Higher burst and collapse

NOTE: Shear forces and pressures recommended in this Tech Unit are theoretical values only, calculated from nominal shear screw values and nominal piston areas.
Observed shear values in the well may vary due to tolerance in shear strength of screws, internal tool friction, mud lubricity, cuttings or other solids in the mud and a
number of other variables. Tools which shear "out of range" do not necessarily indicate a tool malfunction.

Operation
The INLine Liner Hanger Packer System is
operated just as if you were running a conventional ZXP/Hydraulic Set Liner Hanger system.
The running tool that is used is the 2RH Running Tool which has a right hand release mechanism. When the tool is at setting depth, drop
ball and pressure slightly over the setting pressure of the hanger which will be set for 1,500 psi
(2,000, or 2,500 psi on request). When the rupture disk ruptures, the small piston will move out
and make contact with the connecting rod. The
connecting rod is keeping a snap ring, that is

housed underneath the spring housing, in the biased

inwards position. The snap ring is what is keeping the
tool in the run-in position. When the connecting rod is
pushed out of the way, the snap ring is allowed to
come out of the groove on the body and unlock the
spring housing. The spring housing has 32 springs
that will then drive the slips into the casing. Once this
has occurred, you can then slack off the liner weight
and release your running tool. After the cement job
has been done, you can pull the packer setting dog
sub out and set the packer with slack off weight. The
packer shears at 49,000 lb and requires 60,000 lb to
set.
