A. Research Method To Be Used: Methodology

The experimental method will be used to test the effects of different amounts of powdered Indian Rubber Tree bark in tea. Materials include water, brown sugar, and 100, 200, or 300 grams of powdered bark. Equipment for mixing, blending, heating, freezing, weighing, sealing, and serving will be used. The procedure involves gathering materials, preparing bark by washing, drying, and breaking into pieces. Bark will then be frozen or dried and blended. Mixtures of bark and sugar will be sealed in tea packets. For testing, packets will be placed in warm water and consumed. Four treatments using different bark amounts will be compared.

Methodology
A.

Research Method to be Used

The experimental method of research will be used in the study. According to Sazzadul K. (2014).

The experimental method is a systematic and scientific approach in which one manipulates one or more
variables and controls and measures any change in other variables. The outcomes will depend on the
precise measurements that one selects. It might be functional differently in an alternative study to test the
primary conclusions. In this study, the measurements of the blend of powdered Indian Rubber Tree (Ficus
stipulosa) bark within every test will act as the source of the results.

B.

Materials and Equipment

The materials that will be used are 600mL water, 40 grams brown sugar, and 100/200/300 grams

of the powdered bark. This bark is and composed of Indian Rubber tree (Ficus stipulosa). These
ingredients will make the tea itself which will be the substance for the study.
The equipment that will be used in the procedure are clean container for the use of storing the
raw ingredient, empty tea packets that are being used for the tea itself, bowl for mixing the ingredients,
blender for pulverizing the ingredients, microwave oven/ freezer for heating or freezing of the bark,
weighing scale to measure the amount of ingredients and food sealer for storing the tea packets in it. For
serving the product the utensils that will be used are thermos for boiling the water, a cup (preferably
glass) for drinking the tea, and the product itself which is in a tea packet.

C. Procedure
Firstly, the raw materials will be gathered and the equipment will be prepared for the procedure of
the study. Primarily, the amount of powdered bark will be divided conferring to the specified trial.
Subsequently, the bark will be prepared by washing it in flowing water for 1 minute, drying it for 3 minutes
and breaking it to smaller pieces whilst storing it in a clean container. Accordingly, there will be two
methods for the preparation for the pulverizing of the bark. First, placing the clean container, where the
bark will be stored in, in the freezer and waiting for 5 hours or until the bark is frozen. Second, placing the
clean container in a microwave oven for 2 minutes on low setting or until the bark is completely dry and if
it is brittle enough. After the preparation, the frozen/ dry bark will be pulverized in the blender for 2
minutes on high speed or up to the point where it is completely powdered. Thereafter, preparing of the tea
packets is utilized, mixing 100/200/300 grams of the powdered tree bark and 40 grams of brown sugar
until it is evenly mixed. The 40 grams of mixture will then be put in a tea packet. Finally, for serving, place
a tea packet in 200 mL lukewarm water, resulting in 3 servings, dissolve more sugar for a sweeter taste.
The treatments that will be used are four.
