Warm-up and Objective Discussion


Teacher will start welcoming everyone, explaining whats new in this year class, he will go
through the new curriculum and what are his expectations, thence he will start a conversation
about what they think about it, does it seem hard or it just seems interesting, then he will ask
them how do they think it would be more interesting, collecting all of their opinions, and start
to introduce them to the new tech tool, while presenting it he might be able to model how to
use it, have them practice it.
Activity No.1

Teacher will start to show them some picture on the board, those picture targeting
previous knowledge, he will try use some videos that support it, words should be
related to last year curriculum and engaging students with the class.
Teacher will start explaining what Possessive pronouns means, who do you use it, and
group them in pairs, let them start exploring it by using duolingo.
Activity No.3

Teacher will start to present how duolingo works, It should take from 5 to 10 minutes
in case theres any questions, after that he will ask each student to try by himself and
teacher will evaluate and determine wither the student is Native or non-native digital or
he doesnt know how to use it.
Teacher will model for them with trying to pass a skill and then let them try
individually.
Teacher will group them in pairs, and let them start a conversation about Duolingo and
how they see it, and if they have any other ideas to use it inside class.
Activity No.2

Students will have the chance of showing their understanding by explain what
differences between Possessive pronouns in English and Arabic are.

Assessment

Each student will have to write a short essay, using what we learned and recalling his
previous knowledge, he should upload it and comment on other colleges submissions.
Students will have to pass Possessive pronouns skill on Duolingo.
