INPUT DEVICES:
Three input devices are as follows:
1. Keyboard.
2. Mouse.
3. Scanner.
KEYBOARD:
Keyboard is the most common and very poopular input device which helps in
inputting data to the computer. Keyboards are of two sizes 84 keys or 101/102 keys, but
now keyboards with 104 keys or 108 keys are also available for Windows and Internet.
MOUSE:
Mouse is the most popular pointing device. It is a very famous cursor-control device
having a small palm size box. Generally it has two buttons called left and right button and a
wheel is present between the buttons.
SCANNER:
Scanner is an input device which works more like a photocopy machine. It is used
when some information Is available on a paper and it is to be transferred to the hard disk of
the computer for further manipulation.
OUTPUT DEVICES:
Three output devices are as follows:
1. Monitor.
2. Speaker.
3. Multimedia Projector.
MONITOR:
Computer monitor or screen is an output device used to display information to a user.
Whether you are playing a game or watching movies or doing other tasks, the result is
shown on screen or monitor.
SPEAKER:
Computer speaker is the output device which is used to hear a sound played by a
computer. Speakers can be built in with the motherboard or comes as a separate part. It
connects with the computer with a cable.
MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR:
STORAGE DEVICES:
Three storage devices are as follows:
1. USB Flash Drive.
2. CDs.
3. DVDs.
CD:
CD stands for Compact Disc. It is a digital optical disc data storage format. The
format was originally developed to store and play only sound recordings but was later
adapted for storage of data (CD-ROM).
DVD:
DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc. It is a digital optical disc
storage format. The medium can store any kind of digital data is widely used for software
and other computer files as well as video programs watched using DVD players.
