Opening:

Start with a short example.


o Ask the students to write the question on their board , and recognize if they got how to solve it. (disc
learning).
o Select best five or six answers, and demonstrate to the rest of the students.
o Ask the five students you chose to explain their answers to their friends.

The students will play the five activities in turn.


Each student will get the six cards (to solve the questions) ,a paper container( to hold the
cards), and a stick( draw a tick when finish each activity).
Group activity one:
Turn the spinner .

Students will get three wheels divided into eight parts, each part has a number.
Students will trun the first wheel, and write the number depending on the wheel, then turn the seco
wheel , then turn the third whee.
Then students need to write the facts group.

Group activity two:


Find the question cards in the envelopes.

Students will get six different envelopes.


Behind each envelope, they will find their names witten on it.
Select their own names, get out the question, and solve.

Group activity three:


Find your envelope.

Cork board, Triangles printed out, and envelopes.


Select envelopes randomly.
The student will get three different numbers.
Write the numbers on the cork board.

Group activity four:


Attract the questions cards from the box.
Students will get a box, and in the box there are six different cards.

Extract the sticks from the box.

Students will get a box, and inside the box there are six sticks.
In each stick there is a question cards.

Plenary

Get the students to select a paper randomly and solve the questions , they may select a paper that ge
them win a gift.

Assessment

Instruct the group that needs help.


Ensure all the students are able to rewrite the addition questions about the horizontal way to vertical way, then find t
answer.
