Dear Parents,
We hope this weeks Parent Bulletin finds you well rested from the recent October
break. The students appear to be happy to be back at school and have enjoyed catching
up with their friends and teachers. We have 6 weeks before the end of the first semester and, looking at the calendar, they are going to be action-packed. We have concerts
from our Strings, Band and Choirs, the MS Art exhibition, MS ISTA event (Drama) and MS
Sports Day. Please continue to read the Parent Bulletin so you know whats coming
up!

Friday, November 18th:
MAP Student Progress Reports (SPRs):
On Friday, November 18th parents will receive their childs SPR for the
recent MAP tests.
Students will receive their results in an envelope during the first block
(7:30 - 8:40a.m.). Please make a point of asking your child for this information when they arrive home.
A cover letter will be emailed to all parents earlier in the day so parents
who are new to MAP understand how to read the reports. This email will
come from the MS Office.

GUARDIANSHIP AGREEMENTS
When both parents are going to be away
temporarily, It is important for them to notify
the Middle School Office in advance, stating
who will be responsible for the student and
who the school should contact in case of
emergency. Domestic helpers or emergency
contacts in Powerschool do not qualify as

Well done to our Mid A2 soccer boys team who were runners up for the season after the final played last Saturday
morning. Zobel won the game 4-1 and were the better team
on the day. Our team had a wonderful season with two
losses only vs Zobel in the first game of the season and
again in the final. Well done to all players and coaches.
Varsity Boys soccer def Xavier 4-1 on Tuesday evening to
take 3rd place for the Rifa League HS Boys open division.
MS Midgets A1 soccer on Wednesday evening lost 0-4 to
Ateneo and ended the season in 4th place.

Housing requests for ATAC IASAS events- Nov 18-20 ISM will
host the boys pre IASAS tennis exchange. We will have 60
male tennis players arrive on Fri Nov 18 to play Friday evening and all daySaturday then depart Sunday morning Nov 20.
We have enough housing slots and information will be coming out via email by Wednesday next week with guest names
and details.
We are also calling now for community support to host for
IASAS Basketball (Feb 1-5 need 100 beds) and for IASAS Badminton (April 5-9 need 80 beds) and for IASAS Golf (April
8 need 60 beds one night only) Online housing forms for
these events are available at IASAS housing and hosting tabs
on ATAC blog or under the helpful shortcuts on ATAC blog

For our All Year Round teams- Wall Climbing, Chess, Judo,
TKD, Aikido, Table Tennis -As these programs are year round
it is possible for students to join during the year as long as
space is available. See link to information and schedule to

Please note the practice times for ATAC programs for SY 1617 are as follows: ATAC all year round teams- 3:15-4:30. For

ATAC Gymnastics team practices 3:10-4:50 M/W/F
All HS seasonal teams practice from 3:05- 4:50pm on their
respective practice afternoons. MS seasonal teams practice
from 3:15-4:45pm.In order to clear the campus prior
to 5pm all after school programs will conclude by 4:50pm or
earlier. The last bus is 4:55pm this is due to the ever increasing traffic concerns in our area.

Dear Parents,
The ISM Music Department is delighted to invite all grades 6,
7, & 8 male and female singers to audition for the 2016-2017
Honor Choir Festivals in Jakarta, Indonesia! The festivals are
hosted by the Association of Music in International Schools
(AMIS pronounced like the French word for friends ahmee). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate
with some of the best young voices throughout Asia.
