Quick Guide
Placing your artwork
1. Just double click on the layer (Smart Object), you want to edit
2. It will open a .psb file on screen
3. Place your artwork on this screen, save and close it
4. Automatically, the artwork will be displayed in the Mock-Up File.
Ideal for:
Book Covers
Magazine Covers
Brochure Covers

Changing the Background


Some of the PSD files have an additional Background layer to modify.
To select your own color or place your texture image:
1. Double click on the Smart Object named: Background.
2. Fill the layer with the color of paste the image of your preference,
using the Paint Bucket Tool to select the tone of your choice.
3. Save and close the Smart Object.
The changes are now in the background of the Mock Up file.
For different results, you can play with the following settings:
Change the Blending Mode: Experiment with a different blend, such
as Multiply, Linear Burn or Color, and change the opacity to get different looks.

Tips for a better look:


Make use of the blending and opacity options and look for:
1. After pasting your artwork into the Smart Object, change the opacity to 90%.
2. Change the Blending Mode to Multiply.
3. Move the opacity between 80-90% to get better and more realistic results.
The 100% opacity mode gives the artwork a more saturaded
and unrealistic look and feel. The opacity may very depends on the material:
Coated (more saturaded colors), Uncoated (less opacity and saturation).
