Salutz Technologyintegration

Microsoft Excel is proposed for use in a high school statistics lesson to promote collaboration. Excel allows students to create tables and graphs to examine statistics problems outlined in several learning standards, working with data in ways not possible without the software. By sharing Excel files, students could collaborate on statistical plotting and analysis both in and outside the classroom. The integration idea receives a rating of 2, as it enhances the lesson by providing accurate visuals and demonstrating a real-world use of technology to interpret data, engaging students and supporting mastery of concepts.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would give my technology a 2 because it enhances the lesson by providing accurate visuals of data, and showing how technology
can be used to interpret data/graphs. The students in the future may use Excel to look at statistics in depth in the future.
