Task 2

Before implementing the Task:


1. Discuss the task with your teacher and arrange and an appropriate time in which to
implement it.
2. Prior to conducting this task, Make a list of transitions you are likely to observe during
the school day and the type of strategies that the teacher may apply to facilitate them
use table 3 to record your answers. Table 2 is provided to you as an example.

Whilst implementing the Task:

Create a table such as Table 3 below to:


List the type and function of the transitions that you observe during the school day.
Identify the strategies that are used by your MST to facilitate these transitions.
Comment on the success of these strategies in terms of both promoting positive
behaviour and minimizing the incidence of challenging behaviour.
Make practical suggestions about how these transitions could be modified in order to
further promote positive behaviour and minimize the incidence of challenging
behaviour.
