This lesson plan is for a shapes lesson for KG1 students ages 3-4 at Sharjah English School. The goal is for students to identify the number of sides in different shapes by counting ice cream sticks, know the names of shapes, and sort numicon and color pictures of shapes. Materials include cut out paper shapes, ice cream sticks, markers, numicon, color pencils, and worksheets. There are 3 special need students.
There activities depend on so many different multiple intelligences
(Physical Kinesthetic, Auditory, logical mathematics and visualspatial)
They have an excellent prior-knowledge about math subject.
