Brain Dominance Scale

This document introduces the Open Hemispheric Brain Dominance Scale 1.0 (OHBDS), a 20-question self-report measure that assesses preferences for left-brain versus right-brain thinking. It provides instructions for taking the OHBDS test, which involves rating agreement with statements on a 1 to 5 scale. Scoring instructions are given, which involve summing responses associated with left-brain and right-brain thinking and using the results in an equation to calculate an overall score between 20-100, with higher scores indicating more right-brained preferences. Ranges are provided to categorize results as left-brained, no clear preference, or right-brained thinking.
