Cyberbullying is the act of harming or harassing via information technology networks in a repeated and deliberate manner. With the increased use of communication technology, cyberbullying has become increasingly common, .especially among teenagers Teenagers tend to post pictures on social media outlets. Some strangers are willing to steal those pictures to blackmail the teenagers later on. For money, for revenge or even for their personal pleasure. A cyberbully may or may not know their target. A cyberbully may be anonymous or a close envious friend. The awareness of This problem arose around 2007 when the story of Amanda Todd went viral. She was a 14 year old girl who made a minor mistake by sending a personal pictures and a video to a chat room friend. This person sent the video to her classmates, relatives and everyone on her friend list. After moving to a new home and a new school. The cyberbully again sends her pictures to the new classmates and their teachers for the second time. Amanda went into a deep depression. There was no way out. .Eventually she committed suicide on October 2012 ?Now, why is cyberbullying so hurtful Permanence: The insults, comments or images can be preserved by the person who was bullied or by others so that the victim may read or view them over and over .again or take screenshots Audience size: The size of the audience that is able to view or access the damaging material increases the victims humiliation : What are the effects of Cyber bullying Sadness Anxiety Frustration Suicide We need to take a serious action towards this problem both of children and parents need to be aware of this.
