    is the marks obtained by the candidate in the paper, mentioned on this scorecard,
    is the qualifying mark for general category candidate in the paper,
    is the mean of marks of top 0.1% or top 10 (whichever is larger) of the candidates who appeared in the paper, (in case of multi-ses
    including all sessions)
    = 350 is the Score assigned to Mq
    = 900 is the Score assigned to Mt

    In the GATE 2015 score formula, Mq is usually 25 marks (out of 100) or + , whichever is greater. Here is the mean and is the standard
    deviation of marks of all candidates who appeared in the paper.
    Qualifying in GATE 2015 does not guarantee either an admission to a post-graduate program or a scholarships/assistantship. Admitting
    institutes may conduct further tests and interviews for final selection.
