Overview of Program Management

A program is a group of related projects, subprograms, and activities that are managed together to achieve benefits not possible by managing them individually. Programs deliver benefits to organizations by generating business value, enhancing capabilities, or developing new capabilities for stakeholders. They are a means of achieving organizational goals and objectives, often aligned with a strategic plan. Program benefits can be delivered incrementally throughout the program or all at once at the end.
