Script Take Two

Hallie wakes up reliving the same day over again. She realizes the day is repeating based on notes left for herself and the date on the news. Throughout the day, Hallie uses her knowledge to help others, like giving money to a woman at the bus stop who couldn't afford the fare. At the end of the repeated day, Hallie cooks dinner for her mother to apologize for forgetting her birthday that morning.

INT. PROTAGONIST HALLIES BEDROOM - EARLY MORNING 7AM

Hallie in is bed sleeping when her mum knocks on the door ,


she is both sleepy and a little delirious and doesnt act
kindly towards her mother.
Hallies mother emily is frustrated that Hallie is being
rude especially when it is her birthday.
EMILY (MOTHER)
(with a little frustration in her voice)
Get up Hallie its Monday
HALLIE
(Groans and gets up hesitantly and slow)
UGGGH
HALLIE
Hallie then goes on with her
morning , in a very tired and
sad/sombre manner

EXT. PAVEMENT - LATE MORNING 9AM

Hallie is walking to school realising her show is untied ,


but its to late and she begins to fall
HALLIE
AHHHHHHHHHH
Hallie falls to the ground making a sudden noise , she cries
of in response
HALLIE
OW!

EXT. BUS STOP EARLY MORNING 9.15AM


Hallie is walking past the bus stop after missing her bus
and faintly hears a women telling her daughter they cant
get on the bus due to a lack of money

she says while rummaging through her bag. Hallie hears her
faintly but ignores and walks away

EXT. TRACK EARLY AFTERNOON 1PM

Hallie is running her 12 minute run on the track and is


breaking heavily
HALLIE
(heavy breaths)

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE EARLY AFTERNOON 3PM

hallie is getting home from a bad day at school so is both


frustrated and tried
she tries to open her front door and it is locked
HALLIE
UUUGGGGHHHH
THE REDO OF THE FIRST DAY

INT. HALLIES BEDROOM - EARLY MORNING 7AM

Hallie is sleeping but doesnt want to get up as she had a


bad day yesterday , but her mum knocks on her door and she
starts to realise she is living the day again
EMILY (MOTHER)
(with a little frustration in her voice)
Get up Hallie its Monday
HALLIE
(feeling both confused and sleepy)
what? ( in a questioning tone) its
Tuesday isnt it?
EMILY (MOTHER)
No hun , Monday the 27th
(emily waits a breif second for her daughter to wish her a
happy birthday and then exits)
Hallie gets up and proceeds to learn more about why her day
is repeating its self , she then she sees some post it notes
on the windows of her bedroom and walks up to them to see
what they are.

Hallie turns on the news to see if the day is , in fact ,
the same
NEWS PERSON
Hello , and welcome to BBC news on
Monday the 27th of September
Hallie then realises she is reliving her day and spends her
morning in a happy and shocked manner

EXT. NEAR THE BUS STOP - EARLY MORNING 9AM

Hallie offers her drink to a homeless man and he thanks her


HOMELESS MAN
Thank you! (he says in a kind
reflective way)
HALLIE
no problem (while smiling)
Hallie then heads for the bus when she overhears the
conversation she heard yesterday

hallie then opens her bag and grabs the 20p she knew she had
yesterday
HALLIE
Here you go , take it , I dont
need it

Thank you so much (while smiling
kindly at Hallie)

Hollie gets onto the bus and sits in the far corner. She
smiles to herself during the journey she takes to school

Hollie walks into school carrying her umbrella in a happy


manner , walking with a bounce in her step

After hallies realisation that she has forgotten her mums


birthday , she proceeds to make her mum a birthday dinner to
apologise
HALLIE
(realisation her mums home)
gasps
EMILY (MOTHER)
hello? (shouts)

EMILY walks into the room and sees her daughter standing
next to a cooked meal
HALLIE
Happy birthday mum, sorry I forgot
this morning
EMILY (MOTHER)
Oh hallie , thank you!
