Determination of Combined Aggregate Gradation (% Passing)

This document provides the results of testing to determine the combined gradation of aggregates to be used in a concrete mix. Samples were taken from three aggregate sources - two course aggregates and one fine aggregate. The gradations of the individual aggregates were determined, and using the proposed batch proportions, the combined gradation was calculated. The combined gradation was then compared to specification limits to ensure it meets requirements. Key results include a combined gradation meeting the lower control limit for the 1-1/2" sieve but exceeding the upper limit for the 3/4" sieve.
