School uniform
Can I politely remind you to encourage your child
to wear their school shoes. I have noticed a
number of children wearing brightly coloured
trainers which is not part of our school uniform.
Thank you.
Walk to school week
As part of the Walk to school initiative, on
Monday 17th October, Mrs Davies and Mr Noon
will be waiting outside the park on Victoria Road
at 8am to walk with the children to school. We
will only be there for 5 minutes before we make
our way to Bron Haul road, at 8:10am, where we
will collect more pupils as part of our Walking
Bus and make our way to Breakfast Club. If you
would like your child to take part, then please
ensure your child is either at the park in Victoria
Road at 8am or at the bottom of Bron Haul at
8:10. Parents are more than welcome to join in
too!

Harvest Celebration
Our Harvest Celebration will take place on the 20th
October starting at 1.30pm. Unfortunately the Church is
unavailable due to work being carried out, so the
celebration will take place in the Youth Club. Please can
I ask for any food donations which will be given to our
neighbours in Trem Afon.
Holidays during term time
Can I remind parents that if you plan to take
your child out of school for any holidays
during the school term, then you must ask
for a holiday form from the office. Failure to
do so will result in your child receiving an
unauthorised absence which will become
part of the fixed Penalty Notice.
Attendance
After monitoring our attendance recently, I am concerned
that we are below our target of 94%. I understand if a
child is unwell then the best place for them is at home.
Please could I remind parents to inform the school, either
by telephone or using the Class Dojo messaging service to
inform us of your child absence that day.
