What Is Spot Type Photoelectric Smoke Detector?

1. A spot type photoelectric smoke detector is activated by changes in the amount of light received by photo receptors, triggering an alarm when surrounding smoke concentration exceeds a predetermined value. There are types with different sensitivities. 2. It is suitable for offices, living spaces, corridors, stairs, atria, lecture halls, underground walkways, and windowless levels. 3. The detector works by emitting light from an LED. In normal conditions a constant amount of light is received. When smoke is introduced, light is scattered by smoke particles, causing an increase in the amount of light received that triggers an alarm.

What is Spot Type Photoelectric Smoke Detector?

This is the detector.

Air vents

A detector that is activated by the change in

amount of light received by the photo receptors,
triggering a fire alarm when the surrounding
concentration of smoke exceeds a
pre-determined value. There are Type 1, Type 2
and Type 3 with different sensitivities.

Light shield

Suitable for these places.

SLV-RL

Mechanism of the Spot Type Photoelectric Smoke Detector

1. Lights up in the dark. Light cannot
be seen when standing away from
the light source.

2. Introduce smoke.

3. The scattered light of the smoke

particles can be seen. Smoke is
detected from this scattered light.
