GROUND RULES IN TABLE TENNIS

1. Event
1.1 Singles
1.2 Doubles
II. Entries
2.1 One (1) entry in Singles
2.2 One (1) entry in Doubles
III. Tournament Format:
3.1 The couch/ the team captain/ team manager have the sole discretion to
choose players to play in Singles and Doubles. Players in Singles are not allowed
to play in Doubles and vice versa.
3.2 Doubles and Singles shall be played in single round robin elimination
for the first round where entries are grouped into two: Group 1 composed of 3
entries and Group 2 composed of 3 entries.
3.3 The top 2 players in each group in singles and doubles event will
advance to the semi-final match via cross over thus: Group 1 rank 1 vs Group 2
rank 2 and Group 1 rank 2 vs. Group 2 rank 1. The losers will become 2 nd runnerups and the winners will compete for the Championship match.
IV Schedule of Matches
4.1 Final Schedule of Matches shall be posted on the day of the
competition.
4.2 Law of succession shall be applied, unless same player(s) that played
in preceding match request(s) for a rest a maximum of 5 minute break shall be
granted.

Grace Period is 10 minutes after the official match call. After this period
the match shall be considered as a walk-over or default.
V. The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Rules and Regulations shall
govern the conduct of the competition unless modified and superseded by the
ground rules agreed upon by all coaches and technical officials.
VI. RECOGNITION OF WINNERS
There will be 4 major winners in each event to be proclaimed at the end of
the competition namely: CHAMPION, FIRST RUNNER-UP and two SECOND
RUNNER-UPS.
