How to Write a News Article

Tips:
Make sure ideas in the article are clearly connected to the
photo and headline you are given.
A news report is written in the past tense.
A news report should be a number of short paragraphs.
Include quotations to help explain what happened.
It can save time to use the names of places and people you
know.
The purpose of a news article is to explain what happened,
not to persuade people to come to an event or suggest that they
should have enjoyed it. Keep opinion out of the article.
