foraOracleHome,andissimilartotheOracleUseronOracleDatabaseonLinux.Thisuseris
associatedwithanOracleHomeandcannotbechangedtoadifferentuserpostinstallation.
Note:
DifferentOraclehomesonasystemcansharethesameOracleHomeUseroruse
differentOracleHomeUsers.
TheOracleHomeUserisdifferentfromanOracleInstallationUser.TheOracle
InstallationUseristheuserwhorequiresadministrativeprivilegestoinstallOracle
products.TheOracleHomeUserisusedtoruntheWindowsservicesfortheOracle
Home.
Thewindowprovidesthefollowingoptions:
Ifyouselect"UseExistingWindowsUser",theusercredentialsprovidedmustbea
standardWindowsuseraccount(notanadministrator).
Ifthisisasingleinstancedatabaseinstallation,theusercanbealocaluser,a
domainuser,oramanagedservicesaccount.
IfthisisanOracleRACdatabaseinstallation,theexistingusermustbeaWindows
domainuser.TheOracleinstallerwilldisplayanerrorifthisuserhasadministrator
privileges.

)toknowmoreaboutthefield.Notethatbydefault,theinstallercreatesacontainer
databasealongwithapluggabledatabasecalled"pdborcl".Thepluggabledatabasecontains
thesampleHRschema.ChangetheGlobaldatabasenametoorcl.Enterthe"Administrative
password"asOracle_1.Thispasswordwillbeusedlatertologintoadministratoraccountssuch
asSYSandSYSTEM.ClickNext.
