Sangkuriang
In ancient times,there was the story of a princess in west Java named
Dayang Sumbi. She had a son, named Sangkuriang. The child was very
fond of hunting.
He was accompanied by Tumang hunting,dog pet palace. Sangkuriang not
know that the dog is the incarnation of the god and the father of
Sangkuriang.
One day, he got mad at Tumang for not pursuing the animals. Because of
so angry, he then expelled Tumang so the dog went into the woods.
When he returned to the palace. Sangkuriang recounted the incident to
his mother. Dayang Sumbi absurdly angry when I heard that story. He
accidentally hit her head Sangkuriang injured. He was very disappointed
and went wander. After the incident, Dayang Sumbi very sorry for himself.
He was always very diligent prayers and penance. At one point,the gods
gave her a gift. He will be forever young and har timeless beauty.
After years of wendering,Sangkuriang eventually intends to return to his
homeland. When he got there,the kingdom has changed completely. There
he met a lovely girl,who was none other than Dayang Sumbi. Fascinated
by her beauty then,Sangkuriang proposed. There fore it is very handsome
young man,Dayang Sumbi was very fascinated him.
One day Sangkuriang asked permission to hunt. He asked Dayang Sumbi
to spruce up the headband. What a surpise for Dayang Sumbi see the scar
on the head of her future husband. The cut was exactly as his wounds
have to go wander. After long noticed,turned out the young mans face is
very similiar to his face. He became very frightened.
So then he sought to thwait the effort was making of porposal proess. Hi
field two tearms. First , he asked the young men to stem the Citanum
River. And secondly,he asked Sangkuriang to make a big canoe to cross
the river. The second condition is that must be met before down.
That night Sangkuriang doing penance with his power he exerts
supernatural creatures to help finish the job. Dayang Sumbi was secretly
peep the job. Once the work is almost complete. Dayang Sumbi ordered
his troops to hold a red silk cloth to the east of the city.
As witnessed in the eastern city of redness. Sangkuriang througt it was
late morning. He also stopped work. He was very angry because it means
he can not meet the required by Dayang Sumbi.
With his strength,he made his breat through the dam. There was a great
flood swept through the town. He was later kicked a large canoe made.
The boat drifted and crashed into a mountain named Tangkuban Perahu.

her own son.
After those happenings, she immediately looked for ways to thwart the
plan of making a proposal. She then proposed two requirements to
Sangkuriang. Both of those conditions should be finished before sunrise.
At night, Sangkuriang asked for help to spirit creatures to complete all the
work. Dayang Sumbi secretly peeked at the job. Once the work was
almost complete, Dayang Sumbi ordered his forces to hold a red silk cloth
to the east of the city.
3. Resolution
As witnessed in the eastern city of redness. Sangkuriang througt it was
late morning. He also stopped work. He was very angry because it means
he can not meet the required by Dayang Sumbi.With his strength,he made

Moral value :
The moral value of the story is think before act,no matter what happened
you always have to be a honest person. Because everytime you lie,you
will countinue to lie to cover up your lies.
Nilai moral dari cerita adalah berpikir sebelum bertindak,apapun yang
terjadi kamu harus selalu menjadi orang yang jujur,karena setiap kali
kamu berbohong,kamu akan terus berbohong untuk menutupi
kebohonganmu.
The Golden Star-Fruit Tree
A long time ago there was a rich old man living in Vietnam. He had two
sons. They had very different attitudes. The older brother was very
greedy, and the younger brother was very kind. When the old man died,
the brother divided his fathers wealth into two parts. The big brother took
almost everything. He gave his younger brother only a small piece of land,
with a star- fruit tree in front of it. The younger brother did not mid. From
then on he lived there and made his living only by selling star fruits form
the tree.
Unfortunately, a very big raven often came and ate all the ripe fruits. At
first he was too afraid of the raven,and did not know what to do. But one
day he dared to approach the raven . he begged to it not to it the fruits. If
you eat the fruits, I will have nothing to sell to the market,and my family
will starve.
Suprisingly the raven was not angry. He replied, I need the fruits too. Can
I have them and Ill pay you with gold. Bring a 1-meter long bag, and Ill
bring to a place full of gold and you can fill the bag full with gold. The
younger brother then told his wife to make a 1-meter long bag. When the
bag was done, he climbed on the ravens back and they flew to a place
full of gold. He filled the bag full with gold,and then flied back home on
the ravens back. From then on,the younger brother and his famiy could
live happily in luxury.
On the commemoration of his fathers death, he invited his older brother
to come to his house. Thinking that his brother had a poor house,the big
brother refused to come. But because his younger brother insisted,he and
his family decided to come. When they got to the younger brothers
house,they were suprised to see that he was now very much.
He asked his younger brother how he had got all his wealth,and the
younger brother was happy to tell him the truth. Then the greedy brother
and his wife offered the younger brother to trade all their fortune for the
star-fruit tree. The younger brother gladly accepted the offer. Soon the
older brother and his family moved to the house with the star-fruit tree.
When the raven came for the star fruits,the older brother made the same
plea. As expected,the raven told him to bring a 1-meter long bag.
Because he was greedy,he asked his wife to make a much longer bag.
When the bag was done,he climbed on the ravens back and then they
flew to the place full of gold. He filled the big bag with gold. He also
brought some gold in his pockets. On the way home,the load soon became
too heavy for the raven. Unable to hang on,the raven swayed,and the
greedy brother fell straight down to the sea with his bag and pockets full
of gold. He sank fast down the sea. The older brother finally died. He died
because of his greedy.

keserakahan membawa konsekuensi yang tidak diperkirakan untuk kita.
