    FOR FILLIES THREE YEAR OLDS. By subscription 0f $300 due by Saturday September 10, Supplemental nominations of $10,000
    due at time of entry. $2,000 to pass the entry box, $3,000 additional to start, with $1,000,000 guaranteed. The purse to be
    distributed: $10,000 to all starters with the balance of the purse to be divided: 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6%
    to fourth, and 3% to fifth. Weight: 122 lbs. Winners of a grade I race at a mile or over in 2016 to carry 2 lbs. additional. Non-winners
    of a graded race at a mile or over in 2016 allowed 3 lbs. of $60,000 at a mile or over in 2016, 5 lbs; This race will not be divided. A
    field of 14 horses will be drawn with the preference given to Graded/Group stakes winners in order (I-II-III), stakes winners, then
    highest career earnings. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. Nominations close Saturday

    SONGBIRD broke sharply but was allowed to give up the lead racing into the first turn, she stalked the pace racing in the four path under light rating,
    SONGBIRD, raced on even terms with CARINA MIA from midway on the final turn to the quarter pole at which point, SONGBIRD took the lead without need
    of coaxing and she drew off to win in handy fashion. CARINA MIA set the pace in the two path, resisted the winner until turning into the stretch, was unable
    to match strides but continued on gamely to be clearly second best. CATHRYN SOPHIA, raced in the four path while just off the pace, was set down when
    rallying on the final turn but dropped back steadily under pressure. LAND OVER SEA broke slowly, was gradually eased to the outside, raced very wide and
    was never a serious threat. DISCO ROSE, just inside winner, was steadied briefly to avoid the heels of CARINA MIA leaving the backstretch and then
    dropped back steadily. QUEENA ESTHER broke to the right, raced wide into the first turn, remained wide and was never a factor.
