Footnotes
CONNECT settled inside, moved closer passng numerous rivals along the rail to the stretch, came out while continuing his rally, took a narrow advantage at
the eighth pole and gamely held the runner-up safe through the final furlong. GUN RUNNER chased between foes then in the clear outside, moved very
wide into the stretch, loomed boldly in mid-stretch but was outfinished. WILD ABOUT DEB chased between rivals on the first turn, rallied nicely and was up
late for the show award. MY MAN SAM broke slowest, lagged far behind then finished with good energy. AWESOME SLEW hustled to the front setting a
clear pace in hand, was collared at the top of the stretch and weakened while continuing gamely. NYQUIST well placed outside, bid on the final turn, held a
brief lead at the top of the lane but weakened through the final eighth. EXAGGERATOR dropped well behind, made a brief bid outside after the half then
had no further response. CUPID prompted the loose pacesetter for three quarters then gave way. SUMMER REVOLUTION blocked briefly early by the

pacesetter, saved ground and stopped. DISCREET LOVER dropped far behind, was very wide on the first turn and was no factor. SUNNY RIDGE lacked
speed very wide down the backstretch and was never in contention. HIT IT ONCE MORE fanned six wide into the first turn, remained wide and stopped.
