PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate

Glucamate DOE-120 thickener is an


extremely effective nonionic thickener for hair
care and skin care products. It is recommended for use in shower gels, facial
cleansers and shampoos.

Product Description
Glucamate DOE-120 thickener is an ethoxylated
methyl glucose ether which has been esterified with
oleic acid. It is 100% active, and is supplied as pale
yellow, waxy flakes.

Features and Benefits

Surfactant system thickener


Wide compatibility with various surfactant systems.
Effective even with low levels of surfactant (less
than 10% solids)
Reduces irritation associated with surfactants
Does not reduce foam heights
Very light feel
Provides gelling and moisturization

Glucamate DOE-120 thickener is derived


from corn. Because of its easy-to-use flake
form, it can be readily formulated into a wide
range of products.
Glucamate DOE-120 thickener does not
provide yield values, but does offer excellent
thickening performance in a wide range of
surfactants systems. It is highly recommended for mild cleansing systems due to its
ability to reduce the irritancy of surfactant
packages.
Recommended use levels range from 0.1%
to 5.0%, depending on application and
amount of thickening required.

Storage and Handling


Glucamate DOE-120 thickener is packed in
70-kg drums and 45-kg pails. Material should
be stored in closed containers and protected
from extreme temperatures.
