INTRODUCTION
On-The-Job training or OJT is a method by which students is given a chance to apply the
theories and computations that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to
acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual setting.
The aim of the On-The-Job training is to acquire knowledge and skills of the students
about the housekeeping procedure in a hotel, the largest work force the establishment has.
An OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual
methodologies of a specific job using the real tools, equipments and documents. In the effect,
the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen
field and practice what he/she has learn from academy.
Being in line with the hospitality industry course, work fields such as hotel staffs or
workers that the students may land as their job in the future, having a hotel training especially of
the housekeeping, enhances and builds the students knowledge and skills as to what the real
world of hospitality industry is all about. Education and theories learned from school is further
deepening with the help of the On-The-Job training. Students perform what they learned from
their instructor and apply it within the work environment under normal working conditions. OJT
trains the student how to perform their jobs as a worker of the hotel and acquire the needed skills
and applies it to their future work.

CONCLUSION
Nothing beats experience as a perfect learning tool. This training gave me an inspiration to
be more serious and focused in studying. I was encouraged to do more efforts in my studies.
Despite the short period of my training, it was still a very meaningful one. The training
enriched my confidence created a foundation of being a good employee someday. It caused a
very huge effect for me as a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management
Student. I was really renewed. I learned to be diplomatic in both action and words.
This training made me realize that it is really good to know what youre doing, and to love
it. As a student, what I can do for now is to learn whatever I can in school, be inspired, love the
path I am taking, and do my best in everything I do, with a positive outlook in mind. I realized
that I should be more focused in school and do everything heartily and with all that I can.

NARRATIVE REPORT
On the 18th day of April 2016, I, Angelica and Rochelle went to Your Home Pensionne. We
feel so nervous and excited that time. In this day is our first day to meet Maam Lehanna. Maam
Lehanna orient us about our task, the rules that we have to follow and assigned us on which
batch we belong. I belong to batch 3. Since our duty time was 5:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. so I went to
my boarding house. Until our duty time comes, we do the housekeeping. I do the bed make-up,
sweep the floor and setting up the lacking amenities.
On the 19th day of April 2016, I clean one room. I do the bed make-up. I clean the comfort
room. First, I wet the wall of the toilet and sponge it. Second, is the bowl and lastly the floor. I
brush the tiles. Put some powder soap so it I smell good.
On the 20th day of April 2016, I do the housekeeping. Cleaning and checking the rooms,
setting-up the lacking amenities in every room.
On the 21st day of April 2016, we meet our Supervisor, Sir Carlo. Sir Carlo together with
Maam Lehanna orients us about our tasks, the rules that we have to follow and on how they
evaluate our grades. After that, we, the batch 3, assigned to clean the kitchen. So we clean the
kitchen. Mop and sweep the floor. Wash the dishes and clean the toilet. And we clean also the
back of the family room.
On the 22nd day of April 2016, our batch was assigned to clean the stock room, to clean the
guardhouse, to clean the garage and to sweep the dirt in the front of the establishment. After that
we do the housekeeping. I sweep the floor and do the bed make-up. I also help to clean the
comfort room.
On the 23rd day of April 2016, we set up the lacking amenities in every room. Until the
midnight comes, there are guest who want to check-in. me and Ignacio check the room if it is
ready to use. There are lacking amenities, so me and Ignacio go to the stock room to get the
lacking amenities and give it to the guest.
On the 24th day of April 2016, many guests have check-in. Im the one who assigned in
front desk. Im the one who give the registration form to the guest for check-in. After the guest
filled-up the form and assigned in the room they check-in, I will wait for another guest who want
to check-in until my hours of duty is done. Im also the one who answered the phone calls.
On the 25th day of April, our duty time was 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. I was assigned in the
kitchen. I sweep at the back of the family rooms. I wash dishes and mop the floor. After that, we
clean one room. I sweep the floor and do the bed make-up.
On the 26th day of April, we clean four rooms. I was also assigned in the kitchen. I sweep
and mop the floor. I wash the dishes. I sweep at the back of the family rooms. And there are two
rooms that need room service. I and Jocel are the one who made room service. I sweep the floor
and arrange the bed. The one who need room service, I sweep the floor and give them the lacking
amenities.
On the 27th day of April 2016, we clean six rooms. In these six rooms I always sweep the
floor and help to do the bed make-up. After that, there are one room that need room service. Me
is the one they chosen to clean their room but I call Janice to help me. I sweep the floor and mop
also. And I arrange the bed. After that, Sir Carlo came and assigned us to clean the lobby. I brush
the floor together with my batch mate.
On the 28th day of April 2016 is my Day off.
On the 29th day of April 2016, I sweep at the back of the family rooms. After that, we do
the housekeeping. I do the bed make-up. I sweep and mop the floor. I clean the comfort room.
On the 30th day of April 2016, I clean one room. I do the bed make-up. I clean the comfort
room. I trash the garbage. And I help my batch mate to clean the other room.
On the 1st day of May 2016, Im the front desk. Im the one who was assigned to face the
guest for check-in and for check-out. Im the one who give information to them to know the
room they belong. Im the one who is in charged to receive phone calls.
On the 2nd day of May 2016, our duty time was 6:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. We clean two rooms.
I sweep and clean the comfort room. I do the bed make-up. I clean the lobby. After that, Sir Carlo
told me to sweep and mop the floor of their room. Then, I do it.
On the 3rd day of May 2016, we clean one room. We do the bed make-up. I sweep the
floor. Then, Sir Carlo told me again to sweep and mop to their room. After that we brush all trash
cans.
On the 4th day of May 2016, I clean the lobby. We clean three rooms. I sweep and mop the
floor. I clean the comfort room. And I help to do the bed make-up. Sir Carlo came, he assigned
us to clean the stock room. We clean together with Sir Carlo.
On the 5th day of May 2016, we clean the garage. We clean one room. I do the bed makeup.
On the 6th day of May 2016, we clean the lobby. After that, we clean four rooms. I sweep
the floor and clean the comfort room. I trash the garbage. I do the bed make-up.
On the 7th day of May 2016, I clean the kitchen. I wash dishes and clean the gas stove. I
sweep and mop the floor. I clean the comfort room. And I clean at the back of the family rooms.
On the 8th day of May 2016, we clean the lobby. I sweep the floor. And I went to my
boarding house to get some clothes and the say pasalubong because we have to gone to Guiuan
for the Election Day.
On the 9th day of May 2016, was Election Day.
On the 10th day of May 2016, our duty time was 7:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m. I clean the garage.
We put and arrange the clean amenities in the cabinet.
On the 11th day of May 2016, we put and arrange the clean amenities in the cabinet. I give
the lacking amenities to the guest.
On the 12th day of May 2016, we set up the lacking amenities in every room. I give an
extra towel and blanket to the guest. I also serve coffee.
On the 13th day of May 2016, was my Day Off.
On the 14th day of May 2016, we clean the garage. Put and arrange the clean amenities in
the cabinet. We also set up the lacking amenities in every room.
On the 15th day of May 2016, I clean the kitchen. I wash dishes and clean the gas stove. I
sweep and mop the floor. Lastly, I clean the toilet.
On the 16th day of May 2016, our duty time was 8:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. We clean the lobby.
We clean one room. I sweep and mop the floor. And help to do the bed make-up.
On the 17th day of May 2016, was my Day off.

On the 20th day of May 2016, I clean the lobby. We clean 7 rooms. I do the bed make up. I
clean the toilet. I also trash the garbage. And I sweep the floor.
On the 21st day of May 2016, we clean the garage. We clean 3 rooms. I sweep and mop the
floor. I help to do the bed make up.
On the 22nd day of May 2016, we clean 2 rooms. I do the bed make up. And I clean the
comfort room. I sweep the floor of Sir Carlos room.
On the 23rd day of May 2016, was my Day off.
On the 24th day of May 2016, I was the front desk. So, I was the one who face the guest
whos going to check-in and check-out. And Im the one also who receive phone calls. Im the
one also who cleaned the area of the front desk.
On the 25th day of May 2016, I clean one room. I get the dirty amenities and put it to the
stock room. And I get cleaned amenities for setting up the room. I sweep and mop the floor. I
clean the toilet.
On the 26th day of May 2016, I clean the lobby. And do the housekeeping. I do the bed
make-up. I sweep and mop the floor. And clean the toilet.
On the 27th day of May 2016, I was assigned in the kitchen. I clean the gas stove and the
table. I wash dishes. I sweep and mop the floor. And lastly I clean the comfort room.
On the 28th day of May 2016, Im the front desk. Im the one who give information to the
guest. Im also the one who answered phone calls. And Im the one also who give the key to the
guest.
On the 29th day of May 2016, I clean the garage. I do the housekeeping. I do the bed makeup. I cleaned the room properly.
On the 30th day of May 2016, our duty time was 5:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m. We put and arrange
the clean amenities to the cabinet. We also arrange the dirty amenities to the laundry bag.
On the 31st day of May 2016, we clean one room. I do the bed make-up. And I also sweep
and mop the floor.
On the 1st day of June 2016, was my Day Off. But we present our presentation the Summer
Presentation. We set up the room for the theme of SUMMER. It was a beautiful presentation. Of
course like us beautiful, sexy and handsome look for our outfit for summer.
On the 2nd day of June 2016, I clean the lobby. Put and arrange the clean amenities in the
cabinet. And arrange the dirty amenities in the laundry bag.
On the 3rd day of June 2016, was our last duty. We just do to set up the lacking amenities in
every rooms. We also arrange the clean amenities in the cabinet.
PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED
Lack of self-confidence.
Lack of financial.
Adjustment.
Lack of time.
In the establishment. Guest who told me to buy an alcoholic drink outside the
compound.
In the establishment. Lack of amenities that we have to follow up to every room.
