Hours : 40
The objective of the control system engineering course is to provide students with an in-depth
understanding of control system concepts and its various engineering applications, with an
ability to independently face mathematical modelling of the control system design challenges.
Prerequisites Courses: To learn this subject, students have knowledge of signals and systems
CO1 Lerner will gain an ability to do mathematical modelling and find the transfer function of
any system using various techniques for example block diagram reduction, signal flow graph,
etc.
C02 Learner can do the complete analysis of any type of control system with respect to system
stability in the time domain as well as frequency domain.
C03 Student will be able to analzse whether the system is stable or not using various methods
like Routh Hurwitz criterion, Root Locus, Bode plot, Nyquist plot.
C04 The learner would be able to design and analyze the systems in industrial control
systems. They will also be trained to do case studies in Motion Control, Process
Control, Automotive Control, Aircraft and Missile Guidance & Control.
C05 gain detailed knowledge of controllers with advanced applications of control system
and able to do the programming of controllers.
