Course Description:
Computer Applications is one-trimester in which students will use a computer as a tool
for information processing, communication, decision-making, and problem solving. The
focus will shift students from the MS OFFICE suite to the cloud-based productivity suite
Google Drive. Students will create, share & present documents and spreadsheets
displaying information and data in a variety of ways. Digital Citizenship and copy-right
laws will also be important units explored giving our students new practices & strategies
to keep them safe and secure in the digital world.
Grading:
Students will be graded based on assignments, projects and participation. There will
enough time to complete all of the projects & assignments in class, if by chance they do
not finish, it is expected to be completed for homework.

Classroom conduct:
With a computer lab setting, a majority of the workload is individual and students are
expected to listen to instruction, follow teacher demonstration and work independently
at their computer station.
