Message from Pastor Daniel

Dear Parents,
It is with great excitement that we welcome your child into DARE, the youth ministry of New Creation
Church for secondary-school-aged youths. I believe that your child will have a life-changing encounter
with the Lord here at DARE and grow up secure in the love of Jesus.
To ensure a smooth transition from Fearless! To DARE, we would like to take this opportunity to share
more about what we do.

*We have two service timings; the lower secondary youths meet from 12 1.30pm while the upper
secondary youths meet from 10 11:30am.
A. DARE Services
Our weekly DARE services are jam-packed with activities designed to bring the word of God in a
relevant, understandable and applicable manner to the youths of this generation, including:
- Exuberant praise and intimate worship;
- Ministering time (a time when leaders lay hands and pray over the youths)
- Power-packed, Jesus-centric sermons with practical how-tos o e elli g i s hool, uildi g
healthy family relationships and friendships, managing and mastering emotions, and reaching
out to the larger community with the love of Jesus. For a sample of a DARE sermon, please click

B. DARE Groups (DGs)

DARE Groups are our version of care groups and are headed by adult DARE Group Leaders (DGLs)
The DG typically meets twice a month*:
DG Fellowship (Informal): A time of hanging out and building bonds with the DG over lunch at a
location in the vicinity of Shine Auditorium.
DG Session (Formal): Held at MBS, this allows the youths to go into deeper sharing about what
they have received from the DARE service, ask questions, talk about issues they are facing, pray
and encourage each other in the Lord.
*Schedule likely to change during exam periods or holiday seasons. Schedule will also change depending
on the availability of MBS.
Youths are assigned to groups based on their age/level, and then by their address. You will receive more

C. Shuttle Buses
To serve your family better, we also provide 2-way shuttle bus services to and from main church service
from The Star and MBS to Shine Auditorium.
Timings
Before DARE Service
Upper Sec bus timing: 9am to 9.45am
Lower Sec bus timing: 11am to 11.45am
After DARE Service
Shuttle buses run for an hour after service ends
Pick-up/Drop-off Points
The Star: Passenger pick-up point at North Buona Vista Road
Nearest MRT exit: Buona Vista MRT exit C
MBS: Convention Centre; Taxi Drop-off Point

Welcome to DARE!
(In view that it's your child's 1st time to DARE, we will meet at
11.30am to help orientate them around Shine Auditorium
before service starts at 12pm. We will also have 30 mins of DG
huddle after service for a quick sharing.)

This is two-week integration activity.

Youths will proceed to MBS after their 1st DARE service to

meet their DG and DGL for the very 1st time! They can expect
to make new friends and bond as a DG over games.
DARE To Play 2
Youths will proceed to MBS after DARE service for games and a
time of sharing.
It is our heart for every secondary-school aged youth to belong to DARE ministry. However, if your child
does not wish to be part of DARE, please reply to [email protected] to inform us with your
hilds IC number by 16-Sep. Please note that after opting out, you and your child will not receive
updates from DARE, nor will you be able to sign up for DARE events (such as Legacy camp, etc).
Nonetheless, your child is welcome to join back at any stage.
