Notes About Calculations

The document outlines calculations for electrical work, noting a safety factor of 1.2 was used. Current assumptions were 2A per outlet, 10A for special loads. Lighting demand was 0.8, outlets 0.3, and special loads 1. Voltage from the company was 220V. Table 1.1 was used to determine cable cross-sectional areas. Circuit breaker ratings were 10, 16, and 75A. Cables were assumed to be enclosed and conducting, with resistivity of 1.72×10-8 Ω.m. Distances from distributor to breakers were 50, 75, and 100m.

Notes About Calculations

1. We used Safety Factor = 1.2 for the all floors calculations.

2. The Current used by each outlet = 2A in calculations.
3. The Current used by each special load = 10A in calculations.
4. Lighting Demand Factor = 0.8
5. Outlets Demand Factor = 0.3
6. Special loads Demand Factor = 1
7. The Voltage from the company = 220 volt
8. TABLE 1.1 is used to find the Cross-Sectional Area of the cable.

TABLE
1.1 20, 25, 30, 36, 40, 50, 60, 63
9. Circuit breaker ratings = 10, 16,

and 75 A.
10. We assumed the cables are burned and enclosed in
conducting trunk in all cases.
11. We use the value of resistivity () = 1.7210-8 .m, assume that
the distance between the first, second and third floors main circuit
breakers and the electricity distributor are 50, 75 and 100 m,
respectively.
