I am an 21 years old so to say one particular event to be my biggest
achievement is pretty far-fetched. However so far theres one accomplishment
that in my opinion stood above the others. A couple months ago, i got into KKN program that was held by my university as one of the requirement to achieve bachelor degree. Karanganyar is the most popular place to pick by the KKNs applicant because of its close location to the city. But because one thing and another, karanganayars quota was full and i had to pick Wonogiri. And more surprisingly i got pick as team leader at Randusari village, the village where i was placed by the KKN committee. This is not what i was expected from the start. To do my KKN at faraway place such as Wonogiri and to be a team leader is not what i had in mind about how my KKN would be. Its not like this was my first time as a team leader but it was definitly my first time having responsibility to make sure Sebelas Maret Universitys name stays respected by people in this case by the people of Lalung village. So that was my goal, to maintain the UNS name among the people of Lalung village. My team is consist of 9 student from a lot of diffrent faculty. However among my group i was the only one who cant speak bahasa jawa fluently. It took me on an disadvantege because almost all of Lalung villages people is still using bahasa jawa. Also this is one of the reason why i refuse to be placed in Wonogiri. Beside that as a team leader i have an obligation to provide the opening words in each event which we conduct or follow. Although all the signs indicate that I would horribly fail at leading my KKN group but in fact the reality is not so. With good teamwork and hard work, one and a half months later the KKN program is finished and from what i saw from the community, the government, and even the kids in Lalung village were not willing to see my team back to Solo. That indicates my teams success in maintaining UNSs respected name. This experience showed me that even though succes is not guaranteed but anything is possible as long as we try as hard as we can. And even though we might still fail to achieve what were after, at least were going down swinging.
