Is it Mental Illness or Demons?

(Matthew 17)

Today it is all too common for the news media to report a mass
murderer who went berserk and went on shooting spree. Men, women
and children are killing one another on an alarming scale. This is proof
positive of the demonic insanity which grips our world as the end time
darkness deepens. Suicide multiplies at an alarming rate in response
to the unbearable stresses and strains of everyday life without natural
affection.

Men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things
which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven shall be
shaken. (Luke 21:26)

Constant inability to cope brings such frustration and failures that

something inside snaps and human beings commit the terrible crimes
we hear about! The chief reason is ever increasing depths of
demonizing. Upsurging revivals of idolatry, demonic music, alcohol,
drugs and false religious beliefs promote the plunge into the morass of
demoniacally engineered gloom. New Age promotion of the
philosophies of Gnosticism, Hinduism and witchcraft escalates the race
to destruction.

Amorality and lunacy has permeated every realm of government and

insanity reigns supreme! There is no rational reason to continue to
pursue policies which always bankrupt, undermine and destroy our
entire American heritage. This has promoted breakdowns in every
realm of life, educational, economic and financial. Spirits of Mental
Illness and Insanity are busily shoving people over the edge of reason.

The death of a child, loss of a spouse or a job become insurmountable

hurdles and people are cracking up on every hand. Only those who are
being delivered will be able to survive and help others as the days
grow darker, as it was in the days of Noah!

Someone must be free enough to offer genuine help to friends and

loved ones as things steadily worsen. How will you respond to
notification that you must take the number of the beast; that you will

no longer be able to work or do business in buying or selling without
it? Surely that day will come if Jesus tarries.

How is your walk with the Lord Jesus? Have you been delivered from
evil spirits who would bind you with paranoid fears? Root them out
with spiritual warfare and deliverance for these spirits set up victims to
become walking time bombs.

Often these and other spirits have slipped in without our knowledge.
There is a tendency to avoid discussion of mental illness. At all costs
avoid the stigma or label that seems to inevitably attach to the
victims! Let us dispose of that idea, for we are dealing with demons
and the symptoms they create and foster. No stigma should be
attached to having demons, for they can be disposed of and forced
out.

The only disgraceful thing is when the prey refuses the help of
deliverance. We need to know how to recognize and deal with the evil
spirits lest they win in their drive to insanity.

Mental illness is not a mere sickness or disease, but a combination of

demonic entities. Their program is to drive you insane and they usually
work at this gradually. Tormenting like a cancer, they exact the
maximum in suffering until the human breaks down.

Mental illness has been very vaguely defined with no clear cut borders
where it starts and stops. The medical community has never been able
to agree on a starting or stopping point either. However, deliverance
workers know that it begins with the demonic activity! It is helpful to
describe some of their most common characteristics and fruit.

In the Bible insanity is described as madness or lunacy (someone who

manifests according to the lunar cycles). Even the man on the street
will remark, "Oh boy, another full moon. They'll really be out tonight!"
The spirits seem to go berserk during full moon because of the ties of
some spirits to witchcraft activities. They manifest in correlation with
the cycles of the full moon.

The Bible speaks of being "beside oneself." This is another term

describing a person who is not playing with a full deck. The medical
dictionary defines insanity:

''Insanity may be unrecognized in its early stages. It may begin with a
loss of mental alertness, loss of energy, difficulty in remembering,
especially concerning recent events or a person may have trouble
connecting words so that they make sense.”

"He may become easily lost in thought or physically, show poor

judgment, become depressed, gloomy, anxious and irrational. He is
often fearful that someone is trying to hurt him and fails to take care
of himself.”

“He may require nursing care and the trouble may progress to total
disorientation. Mental retardation may describe a condition in an
individual's social and intellectual development has been partially or
completely arrested."

Note this tie-in with Arrested Development whereby the enemy

intertwines an entire complex of demons. Even though we are talking
about a specific spirit, you will see them relate to others in the victim.
Often tightly intermeshed, it may be necessary to pull each apart to
achieve freedom.

In Bible days, everybody believed that mental problems were the work
of demons. It also was common knowledge that demons caused a
person to be a lunatic or exhibit insanity. Their diagnosis was correct,
but they lacked the expertise and power to remove them.

The Bible mentions some Jews who practiced exorcisms, the sons of
Sceva and the scribes and Pharisees. They knew that insanity was
demonically rooted but were not very successful in expelling the evil
spirits. There were notable deliverances in the New Testament which
dealt with the mentally impaired.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a
certain man kneeling down to him saying 'Lord, have mercy on my son
for he is a lunatic and sore vexed, For oftentimes he falls into the fire
and oft into the water and I brought him unto your disciples and they
could not cure him.’

Then Jesus answered and said unto him 'Oh faithless and perverse
generation, How long should I be with you? How long should I suffer
you? Bring him hither to me.'

Jesus rebuked the devil and he departed out of him and the child was
cured from that very hour.
(Matthew 17:14-17)

Note the expression, from that very hour (indicating part of an hour),
the demon resisted leaving and struggled to stay. The disciples had
been unable to break the determined obstinacy of the entrenched foe.
Not every demon that we come against will leave instantly. No matter
how powerful and experienced we fancy ourselves to be, we will
encounter savage resistance from time to time.

The fact that Jesus spent time forcing it out merely demonstrates that
an extremely powerful entity was being addressed. Undoubtedly Jesus
could have done the job quicker. The fact that He did not choose to do
so meant that he was teaching the disciples valuable lessons.

Soldiers must learn to face abrupt and even humiliating failures as well
as glorious victories. They must also be taught how to overcome
temporary failures without being caught up in embarrassing pride.
Seeing his success, the disciples immediately asked Jesus why they
had failed, even though they used proven methods which had worked
previously. Today we often echo their puzzled cry, "Why could we not
we cast him out?" Again He answers that it is because of our unbelief
and lack of total commitment!

What a rebuke this is to our overrated spirituality! Repeatedly this has

happened to us and other deliverance workers. Confidently people
come for prayer but are so demonized we often just shake our heads.
Some of this is unbelief and some is based on our previous
experiences.

We know that demanding seekers who are unwilling to repent, forgive

and meet God's conditions will receive little or no help. However, often
when presented with monstrous cases of infestation we tend to reel
with unbelief. The disciples undoubtedly felt this after preliminary
prayer for the lunatic child failed.

The savage, determined resistance convinced them the boy was so far
gone, he might never be free. The battle had been undermined by
unbelief. Jesus rebuked them for this and proceeded to demonstrate

that the child could be set free by persistent faith attacking the
demons.

Many symptoms described in modern medical research were true of

this child. Verse 15 describes him as a sore, vexed lunatic. In an
almost constant state of agitation and irritation, his entire system of
balance was affected. He was literally tossed into fire and into the
water by spirits of Self Destruction. In many ways this fits modern
descriptions of the mentally ill.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked
the foul spirits and said unto him, thou deaf and dumb spirits, I charge
thee to come out of him and enter him no more. (Mark 9:25)

The accounts about the Gadarene (Gergesene) demoniac are

interesting. The references are to people of the land of Gadara who
lived east of the Sea of Galilee. In Mark 5:1-20 and Luke 8:26-39
only one demoniac is involved. However, in Matthew 8:28-35 Jesus
confronted two demonized men. These are evidently the record of two
separate but very similar incidents. Both cases deal with Insanity or
Lunacy, clearly engineered by demons.

And they came over into the other side of the sea into the country of
Gadarenes.

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him
out of the tomb a man with an unclean spirit.

Who hath his dwelling among the tombs, no man can bind him, no not
with chains:

Because he had often been bound with fetters and chains and the
chains had been plucked asunder by him and the fetters broken in
pieces, neither could any man chain him or stop him.

And always night and day he was in the tombs and mountains cutting
himself with stones,

But when he saw Jesus afar off; he ran and worshipped him.
(Mark 5:1-6)

Even in his terrible state, the man mustered enough strength to run
toward Jesus for help. No matter how badly people are bound there is
still the opportunity to dash to Jesus if they genuinely want to do it.
Isn't that encouraging?

And he cried with a loud voice and said what have I to do with thee
thou Jesus Most High. I adjure thee by God that thou torment me not
for He said unto the man come out of the man thou unclean spirit.
(Mark 5:7)

The Bible states that this man had a legion of demons (about 6,000).
Jesus addressed his condition as a demon. The name given is Legion.
That is not a large number in the spirit world, for we have dealt with
many legions of demons inside individuals. If we compare the
symptoms of the Gadarene with today's medical definitions of the
mentally ill, there are some perfect matches!

He was in the mountains, in the tombs (Mark 5:57). No one could

bear to be around him for he was a disaster going somewhere to
happen. He was forced to live alone, isolated and crying out in agony
and pain. His sobbing and weeping came from a combination of fear,
pain, rejection and torment. Under such intense mental pressures, he
was suicidal, abusing himself and constantly cutting himself with
stones.

There were significant changes following deliverance. "The one that

had the legion was found sitting, clothed and in his right mind."
(Mark 5:15) When the demons were in control, :'e stalked around in a
continuous state of agitation, and unable to rest or be quiet.
Formerly he was always aimlessly running to and fro and throwing
himself on the rocks.

When the demons were in control he stalked around naked and

adamantly refused to wear clothing, another evidence of insanity. Our
entire nation is afflicted with this, with multitudes parading around
wearing as little clothing as possible. When God judged the disobedient
couple In the Garden of Eden, He clothed them in coats of skin to
cover their nakedness.

Although the size of the garments is not given it is safe to assume that
more than short shorts, a thong bikini and a brief halter are in view. In

the beginning God clothed the nakedness of man and woman and
since then the devil has worked ceaselessly to undress them!

Why are lewd and nude magazines so very popular? Analyze why you
or others may be so drawn to nudity and nakedness. This is just
another evident sign of man's deep rebellion against God!
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.

Another highly significant change was restoration of his right mind.

Mental impairments were gone and once more he could think and act
like a normal person. At peace with himself and no longer driven to
race about he could finally sit down and be still and calm! It is not too
much to expect that these external changes should be some of the
first evidences of real deliverance from evil spirits.

In Jesus' day they knew the man had demons but had no remedies
which would help him. Today we have strong, powerful drugs to sedate
the demonized. These are like high tech "band aids" that the proud
experts dish out and hail as totally effective cures. However this is not
true.

Another scripture bearing on demonic origin of insanity is John 10:19.

There was a division among the Jews because of the teachings of
Jesus. Many charged that he had a devil and had gone crazy therefore
it was pointless to listen to Him. Have you received this accusation
yet? If you begin to do the works of Jesus and stay on the deliverance
trail, sooner or later you will be targeted.

Mental illness can definitely be attributed to the work of demons.

Because of this, freedom can be obtained in the name of Jesus Christ.
Be alert for factors which lead to mental illness. Knowing insanity is
demonic is not enough, we must be aware of things which give it the
ground to come in and attack the individual.

It is interesting that even the medical profession recognizes heredity

as the primary ground for mental illness. You are like your parents and
your children are embarrassingly like you. Sins of the fathers is one
of the main reasons for mental illness and it passes from generation to
generation through the blood line.

Deuteronomy 28:28 details promised curses from God for
disobedience. "The Lord shall smite thee with madness and blindness
and astonishment of heart." Running from the Lord in disobedience is
one of the first things to open doors to insanity. Break the curses of
disobedience and also the curses put on our children or ourselves by
nicknames.

Sometimes in frustration and anger parents and siblings will

sometimes use epithets when provoked by loved ones. Imbecile,
moron, idiot, retard or stupid all refer to stages of mental retardation.
How many of us were called these and other derogatory names when
we were growing up? Those curses need to be broken without delay.

Ecclesiastes 7:7 says plainly, ''Surely oppression maketh a wise man

mad." Deep oppression is another invitation for attack by enemy
spirits.

Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer, and He that formed thee from the
womb I am the Lord that maketh all things that stretcheth forth the
heavens alone, that spreadeth abroad the earth by itself,

That frustrateth the tokens of the liars and makes diviners mad,
turneth wise backward and maketh their knowledge foolishness.
(Isaiah 44:24-25)

Divination or experimentation with the occult brings a curse from

God which includes insanity and you begin to lose your mind. God will
permit an evil spirit to come upon you for touching these items of
spiritual filth. These contacts open the doors wide for entrance of
mental illness and insanity.

A drought is upon her waters and they shall be dried up. For it is the
land of the graven images and they are mad upon their idols.
(Jeremiah 50:38)

Madness is synonymous with crazy or insane. Idolatry, witchcraft and

dabbling in the occult are some of the fastest ways to pick up spirits of
Insanity. Do not overlook the sins of our forefathers involving occult
practices for this makes one extremely vulnerable to these spirits.

Buried inside, they make their hosts into walking time bombs. That is
how they operate and what they do. "The days of visitation are come.
The days of recompense are come. Israel shall know it. The prophet is
a fool. The spiritual man is mad." (Hosea 9:7)

Operating in common with insanity are multitudes of religious spirits.

''I know that is how I got some of mine. One of my great-great-aunts
was found running naked through the cornfield, worshipping God.
Religious spirits literally drove her crazy. They convinced her that she
was out there serving the Lord. Thank God for freedom I received
from that type of spirit!"

Spirits of Nudity are associated with insanity. Certainly our land is full
of these. So many religious leaders today have gone whoring after
other gods. Money, power, prestige, tricks of witchcraft, "gifts" of
slaying in the spirit, etc., become their stock in trade. If you permit
them to lay hands on you, you will go crazy along with them! If you
believe "slaying in the spirit" is of the Lord, you already are a couple of
sandwiches short of a picnic!

You might not be able to bind these powerful spirits completely in

"great" and famous leaders. These are very forceful spirits and those
controlled by them are usually totally surrendered. However, you can
visit local assemblies where these things are being practiced. Bind up
the religious and occult spirits which are operating there and watch the
results.

Many times when we had no church to attend in California, we visited

other groups. I really felt sorry for the people dazzled by the religious
show being produced for their benefit. How awful to be deceived by
that wicked thing and to think they are serving the Lord. You can sit
there quietly and keep binding religious spirits. They will get to a point
where it no longer works. Because you are only binding deception or
religious spirits, no work being done by the Holy Spirit will be affected.

Some on national T.V. have a tremendous load of powerful religious

spirits. Audiences come, filled with awe and desiring to see "the power
of God." To be honest I must tell them it is empty showmanship, a
scam operated by Religious spirits. Yielding to those leaders and
having them touch you opens the way for spirits to transfer into you.

They will slip in and lie in wait for the right time to go into full
manifestation.

"In that day saith the Lord I will smite every horse with astonishment
and its rider with madness." (Zechariah 12:4) That word
astonishment goes right along with the spirit of Insanity. In verse 9
God promises, ''And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to
destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." The judgment of
the Lord comes against all those who come against God's people.
Insanity is a judgment from Almighty God!

Daniel tells about King Nebuchadnezzar being smitten and brought low
so that he was naked and ate grass like an animal for seven years.

Is not this great Babylon that I have built for the house of the king by
my power and by the honor of my majesty.

While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven
saying 'King Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken thy kingdom is
departed from thee.' (Daniel 4:30)

Judgment brought insanity to the foolish king who dared to take

personal credit for the things that the Lord had done for him. Pride
which defied God and grasped for His glory opened the door for
insanity and madness to cut him down in base humiliation and
degradation.

Babylon has been a golden cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the
earth drunken, the nations hath drunken of her wine; therefore, the
nations are mad. (Jeremiah 51:7)

Participation in Babylonian worship produces insanity. Here it is

related to imbibing strong drink. Drinking alcohol and involvement in
the Babylonian worship are tied together. Both are considered
abominably filthy activities carrying harsh and extremely severe
spiritual penalties.

It is common knowledge that both alcohol and drug use causes

permanent brain damage. Sip a little "sauce" for your stomach's sake
but you will lose your brain while you are using it. You may say "I
have a lot of brain cells I wasn't using anyway." Unfortunately you

have no way of knowing which ones are being subtracted. You do not
even know if you have a surplus. How embarrassing if you were in
short supply before it began!

Mental retardation often slips in with alcohol and sets up a curse which
is locked in on future generations with ancestral sins. You need to take
a look at some of the fetal alcoholic syndrome cases, babies born to
alcoholic or drug addicted mothers. It will break your heart.

Other openings for these spirits of Insanity come from various sexual
diseases. For example, the end result of syphilis is insanity and
madness. Throughout history many kings have gone mad and died
because of this venereal disease. Other more common results include:
traumatic brain damage, accidents, injuries, blood clots, brain tumors,
arteriosclerosis, cerebral hemorrhage, thyroid, pituitary diseases,
degeneration of the brain or nervous system, encephalitis and
inflammation of the brain.

All these things are a part of the heritage of mental illness.

Alzheimer's disease is a slow and gradual deterioration of the
cerebral cortex, and is listed under mental illness. It is characterized
by disorders in walking, disorientation, coordination and hallucinations.
These are examples, but there are many more.

Saul was very wroth and the saying displeased him and he said, “They
have ascribed unto David 10,000 and to me 1,000 and what could he
have more than the kingdom?”

And Saul eyed David from that day forward. And it came to pass on
the morrow that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul.
(I Samuel 18:8-9)

This resulted from that curse of disobedience. God permitted the evil
spirit to come upon Saul and drive him mad. Notice this!! The first
thing he did when this evil spirit came on him was to prophesy in the
midst of the house. Caution, evil spirits can and do prophesy. Just
because somebody prophesies does not mean it comes from the Lord.
It could be an evil spirit prophesying.

And David played with his hand as at other times and there was a
javelin in Saul's hand.

And Saul cast the javelin for he said, I will smite David even unto the
wall with it and David avoided out of his presence twice.
(I Samuel 18:10, 11)

Here we see a bit of Saul and his jealousy. Jealousy is another fruit or
symptom of insanity and all of the other things that John talked about.

Extreme rage is something constantly evidenced with the mentally

impaired.

And looking round about upon them all He said unto the man stretch
forth thy hand and he did so and the hand was restored as the other.

And the Pharisees were filled with madness and they communed one
with the other what they might do with Jesus. (Luke 6:10, 11)

Jesus' enemies wanted to kill Him and were themselves manifesting

madness and insanity. Today the courts call this temporary insanity.
This is the polite way of saying the demon came up, instigated murder
or some other outrage and then went right back down inside. The rage
spirit is wicked and mean and this certainly describes King Saul. There
was no reason for him to attack David even as there was no reason for
the attempt to harm Jesus. These were wicked and vicious killer
spirits.

“As a madman who casteth firebrands, arrows and death, so is the

man that deceiveth his neighbor and said am I not in sport?"
(Proverbs 16:18) Again this is meanness, viciousness, and
wickedness, all fruits of insanity.

Medical descriptions are interesting, however we need, not only to

describe, but be able to do something to remedy the problem.
Describing how these spirits operate will assist in dealing with them.
Half the battle is knowing exactly who the enemies are. It is quite
different when you are unaware of who they are or how they operate.

Mental illness will curb or inhibit development of coping mechanisms.

There is a low tolerance to deal with even the simple stresses of life
and a balanced mental emotional equilibrium is nonexistent. The God
given balance between your thinking and your feelings is destroyed or

heavily inhibited when mental impairment is able to strike through
arrested development.

Everyone has known of cases when persons have made complete

reversals of behavior because of simple stresses or traumas in their
lives. Although we may think them weird, we do not feel that they
qualify for institutionalization. It is still demonic activity.

People with mental illness or insanity live in a state of crisis,

proceeding from one to another. The key is that things never get any
better. They have a few favorite quotes: ''I am losing my mind.” This
is demonic chatter and often you can identify the demon by listening.
Another of their sayings: ''I am just afraid something dreadful is about
to happen. I just feel it. I just know that something awful is coming. I
just can't think straight. I am ready to pull my hair out, etc.”

Those who are mentally ill repeat cycles of ever increasing tension and
disorganization. Constant attempts are made to escape the problems
through blame or rejection. For example, a husband who feels anxiety
over his son's juvenile delinquency may blame his wife and file for
divorce. Alone, he will plunge right back into the cycle again, feeling
even more anxious and frustrated, thus the sequence of insanity
perpetuates itself.

In his case he could sit down and have times of lucidness. Free floating
anxiety usually manifests itself in either the form of maniac depression
or a constant anger. This emotional conflict is usually unconscious but
effectively blocks real emotional needs from ever being met. Under
these conditions, there is no way a mental equilibrium can be
maintained when thrown into devastating situations.

We hear of those who have broken under pressure. There can come a
time when if just one more frustration or disappointment is will create
an intolerable load. These are the walking time-bomb spirits and sound
like too many typical American parents. ''I can't handle it anymore."
One only has to have a drink or touch the occult to upset the delicate
balance.

Never comfortable with themselves, these tormented beings are

plagued with self hatred and a distorted view of themselves. Their
environment is viewed as dangerous, hostile or threatening. Fears,

dreads and paranoias take over to bring about paralysis or complete
mental breakdown. Turn the tables on the enemy and put upon them
the things they desire for you. Let them go crazy.

The mentally impaired lack the capacity for independent· thinking and
actions, and tend to lean heavily on those whom they trust. They trust
with difficulty. Without a clear emotional and mental balance they are
sometimes suicidal, unable to cope with anxiety, crises and
depression. Often they long for death to relieve the emotional anguish
which never seems to let up.

Ambivalence is a coexistence of two opposing desires or emotions

toward the same person, object or goal. It is like a love or hate feeling
directed toward spouse, pastor, computer, etc. A spirit of Blocking
causes difficulty in recollection or an interruption of a train of
thought/speech due to emotional factors. This will be so strong they
cannot focus their thoughts and follow through.

Confabulation is an unconscious filling of actual memory gaps with

imaginary or fantasy experiences counted as real. Delusion is another
symptom which maintains itself against all logical arguments. There
can be Delusion of grandeur, exaggerated importance of self. It could
be a delusion of persecution, an unrealistic thought of being singled
out -- they're all against me. It could be a delusion of reference -- an
incorrect assumption of a casual remark applied to themselves; always
taking things the wrong way.

Euphoric, exaggerated emotions not consistent with the stimuli

present. Exhibitionism, showing off -- these "streak" through malls,
mooning you on the freeways and generally revealing their lack of
mental emotional balance. Extroverted, with attention and energies
directed outward, they blame someone or something else as the
predicament. They can never look to themselves for responsibility or
change.

Hysteria refers to emotional conflict characterized and driven by

arrested development. Immaturity and impulsiveness, combines with
attention seeking and dependency. This can be introverted (a
preoccupation with self), and reduction of interest outside of self. It

can be maniac depressive with severe mood swings between extreme
elation and extreme depression.

Elation is characterized by a mind which never rests and is plagued

with extreme over talkativeness. Others may want to shout ''slow
down, slow down, I want to talk to you," to such a person. That is the
hyper side. The depressive phase slides into despair and passivity
which cannot think of having any significant emotions. The victim will
be caught in one of the two extremes and seldom will there be any in
between.

Megnomania is the syndrome marked by delusions of great self-

importance or power. This one is a constant threat to the leaders. We
will not explore other areas such as mongolism, Downs Syndrome,
epilepsy, autism and schizophrenia at this time. However these are all
included under the umbrella of insanity and mental illness. We are only
dealing with the tip of the iceberg.

If you or your family have histories of mental illness or if you have

touched the occult or alcohol/drugs, you have picked up many evil
spirits, probably many in the insanity family. You don't know what is
waiting to make you a walking time bomb for a disaster about to
happen.

If you or your ancestors have participated in these things, demons are

there. The battlefield in which the demons work is your mind. Go after
them, dig them out and work to recapture your mind with real spiritual
warfare. Reclaim it, fight for it and get into the Word. Memorize
scripture to help rout the enemy and hold the ground gained.

You would not have recognized me when I began to get prayer for the
alcoholic syndrome. My mind was shot. However, I reasoned that if
God could give a dead body life, surely he could resurrect a dead
mind. Accordingly, on a daily basis I began to command my mind
to awaken and that those destroyed brain cells be restored.

This made a tremendous difference right away. I had launched into the
slow, painful process of regaining a mind raped and largely stolen by
demons. Attacking Insanity spirits will provoke heavy resistance, but
do not let that stop you. It is worth it all to get your mind back.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:2, Paul gives sound advice:

Now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and by our gathering together on Him that you be not soon shaken in
mind or be troubled neither by spirits nor by word nor by letter as
from us, as that day of Christ is at hand.

We are not to be shaken in mind, but through deliverance throw out

these spirits to bring your mind under control of the Holy Spirit.

Paul urges:

Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing

of your mind. (Romans 12:2)

Get your mind back so that it can be renewed. This indicates a major
overhaul, not a minor tune-up. Like a pie with several pieces missing,
you must reclaim those pieces.

This must be done in order that “ye may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God." If you desire to know the will of
the Lord for your life, you must have your mind because it is the
battlefield! Does this indicate you are retarded? No! Not necessarily,
but definitely you are demonized, infested with evil spirits.

Everyone has demons, even those so puffed up with pride that they
deny it! No family has missed the poisonous touch of the occult,
alcohol or drugs. They are there, even though they may have been
hiding. More and more they are manifesting openly.

Pressured by deliverance prayers, one by one they manifest in our

loved ones and go berserk. As they leave, demons wail that, ''I just
can't take it anymore." The enemy has covered this area with deceit
and religious confusion. I may still have some areas of my mind which
are to be freed but large sections have definitely been restored.

It is so good to be free to use segments of my mind which had been

occupied territory for so many years.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
(John 8:36)
