Pranavi interviewed her father about how he manages data for his poultry business. Her father uses Excel to track documents, Tally and Focus for accounts. He checks production and consumption data daily, weekly, and monthly to see how much product was produced and exported. A database management system is software that handles data storage, retrieval, and updating. It provides advantages like improved data sharing, security, and consistency while reducing inconsistency. However, it also has disadvantages like complexity and large size. Databases are beneficial for businesses to easily analyze and store large amounts of information. MS Access uses tables to store data, queries to sort and filter tables, forms to enter and view data, and reports to output data.
