Bio Instrumentation Lab

The NI Bioinstrumentation Lab provides a low-cost way to create instrumentation for data analysis, storage, and reporting using National Instruments' tools. It offers flexibility to connect existing biosensors or design custom instrumentation systems. The lab allows users to develop sensor circuitry, test performance, acquire and analyze data from biosensors, and store or display results.

NI Bioinstrumentation Lab

NI Bioinstrumentation Lab
National Instruments’ Bioinstrumentation tools provide a low-cost method to create
instrumentation for data analysis, data storage, and report generation.

The NI Bioinstrumentation Lab offers the flexibility to connect to existing Bio-sensors or

create custom designed instrumentation systems. The complete instrumentation circuit for
different biosensors can developed using Multisim. Simulated testing can be done on the
circuits using the same environment. Once the performance and interfacing are completed
the same circuit can be realized using discrete components on the ELVIS breadboard.
Subsequently the sensor and signal conditioning circuit can be tested for performance
parameters using the instrumentation capability of ELVIS.

The Lab provides a set of data acquisition drivers, working in an industry-Labard software
environment, to acquire data from existing bio-sensors and perform additional analysis and
store data on-line or perform on-line display functions.
