    William Shakespeare was one of the greatest English writers in history. He lived from 1564 to 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Though little is known of his early life and education, he went on to have a successful career as an actor, writer, and part owner of two theaters in London. He wrote around 38 plays and 158 sonnets, with some of his most famous works being Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth. Shakespeare had a wife and three children and remained popular even after his death, with his plays still widely performed and read today.

    writer and owned a couple of businesses

    personality that attracted many critics, like
    Robert Greene, who was one of William's
